The view from the north and south offer very different images, partly due to the shape of the tree and partly as an acknowledgement of the direction from which the winter storms come. To the south, the treehouse offers a tall, bold face (see "Looking north" in this set). To the north, the side seen here, the treehouse was intentionally kept long and low. Worth noting, this shot offers a great view of the only two full penetrations of the roof -- the skylight over the loft entrance and the pass-through of one of the main trunks over the front porch.
We are constantly bothered by things that distract us on all sides....sometimes it is refreshing to look up....of coarse with a camera!
Look Out

El cantante se renovó para su gira MAS World Tour, en la que promociona su nuevo álbum “Música+Alma+Sexo”.
Cada vez que Ricky Martin empieza una nueva gira, aprovecha para renovar su look. Esta oportunidad no fue la excepción y a propósito de su nuevo álbum “Música+Alma+Sexo” reapareció con un peinado que sorprendió a más de uno.
El boricua decidió mostrarse con lentes de montura negra y un nuevo corte de cabello con los costados bien rapados. Eso sí, no pasó desapercibido el llamativo color rubio de su peinado (por cierto, un color bastante más claro al que solía utilizar).
Al menos así lució en la presentación del álbum en México. Además de continuar con la promoción de su libro y de su nuevo álbum, Ricky sigue visitando diversos lugares con su MAS World Tour.
Según informan distintos portales de Internet, Martin llevará su show a Montreal, Toronto, Atlantic City, Houston, Hidalgo, El Paso, Los Ángeles, San Diego, Guadalajara y Monterrey, entre otros lugares.
Como se recuerda, el cantante causó revuelo en todo el mundo tras declarar abiertamente su homosexualidad a través de Internet en marzo del año pasado.

St Mary, Fairstead, Essex
The narrow lanes now started climbing, and this was rolling countryside of green barley and yellow oilseed rape. Ahead of me were two spires on the horizon, Fairstead and Terling, my next two visits. As I headed towards the northernmost it resolved into a tiny village on a hilltop, the church poking up above a 15th Century farmhouse, and I climbed up to the church.
Open. Externally, a difficult church to photograph, especially with the sun now around to the south-west. The small churchyard is full of trees and the church presents its north side to the road. Externally, the church is odd. The tower is huge, entirely Norman and reminiscent of Little Bardfield and Stambourne, except topped by a wooden spire. The nave is aisleless and tiny, squeezed between the great tower and the long 14th Century chancel. Inside? I had no idea what to expect. I pushed open the door and stepped inside.
Well, it took my breath away. Entirely rustic, brick floors, tiny medieval benches, and the best 15th Century wall-paintings in all Essex. Above the chancel arch are scenes from the Passion - at the very top Christ enters Jerusalem on a short-legged donkey, there is an extraordinary Last Supper, we see Judas betray Jesus with a kiss, a very Jewish looking figure places a crown of thorns on Christ's head, and so on. Fabulous. On the walls are Saints and grotesques. In the north-east corner of the nave is a spectacular canopy of honour to an altar that was once there. Beyond, the long chancel was full of light and very lovely. The church jumped straight into my Essex top 20 - the setting, the interior, the atmosphere, all were wonderful. Church of the Day.
As you may imagine, I was feeling very happy - the lovely weather, the wind in my hair, the sun on my face, such a beautiful little church, and now I headed a few miles south into a most beautiful village,Terling.

On Wednesday 9th April 2014, I did something that I had known for a long time that I would have to do. There are seven churches in and around Braintree that everyone says are all locked without a keyholder. In the northern half of Essex just about every other church is open, hundreds of them welcoming and witnessing for the Church to the people of God. But not in and around the miserable town of Braintree. And if I was to visit every church in Essex, then I would need to enter this Black Hole, this unwelcoming sprawl and its environs.
Why are the churches in the Braintree area kept locked? I have heard various reasons from churchwardens and ministers who really should know better - 'Braintree is a high crime area!', 'We've had all the lead taken off the roof!', 'We've had several break-ins!', 'There are lots of gipsy camps around Braintree!', 'This is a rough area, you couldn't possibly leave a church open around here!' 'We're so close to London here!', 'The church is so remote!' and so on. Of course, only locked churches get broken into, and locking a church doesn't protect the lead on the roof. Indeed, Ecclesiastical Insurance tells us that a locked church is more likely to be vandalised, more likely to be broken into and even more likely to have something stolen from it than one which is kept open. I find it hard to see how most of these pitiful excuses might not equally apply to the other hundreds of north Essex churches who all seem to manage to be open, but there we are.
It seemed to me that if I was to visit these desperate places I would need to do it on a sunny day when there would be other attractions to the event rather than just the churches. I didn't want to waste a Saturday on them, and as Braintree is barely an hour from my house it made sense not to get up too early or to make the trip in any way arduous. The countryside around Braintree is very pleasant indeed, and there are several churches between there and Chelmsford which I also hadn't visited and which were likely to be open and welcoming, so why not treat it as a nice bike ride in the country where I might occasionally pause for a few moments to photograph the exterior of a church? In fact, it would turn out to be rather better than that.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

I dunno how I feel about this obitsu body. I like the posability and included hands, but I'm not feeling it as much as the Pureneemo. Or maybe I got too used to her on her original body that this bigger one seems too strange. These legs are too thick for her stand which is a shame, but I do like how they look. I also feel like she has man hands.

When working in a studio with models who have never posed before and do stuff we ask them to do as we go along... it's very important every now and again to not only tell them that they are doing great...but to show them ...and it makes them loosen up even more ...and the comfort levels elevate ...
