i am still waiting for the spring, so if he is not outside i got him into my house with mountains of tulips.
Please view it on black.
This was practically improvisation. I just had this beautiful traditional Russian shawl and these amazing earrings made by a wonderful girl Sabi Krabi, and I just craved taking a self-portrait.
The idea of this photo is that we often long for something which is impossible for us to have so we have to restrain ourselves.
Please go and check Sabi Krabi's shop on etsy . You'll discover a lot of amazing treasure which she makes with her skillful and wondrous hands.
Here's hoping for a bit warmer weather :o) Had enough of snow!
Wishing you all a great weekend!

to zoo or not to zoo... that is the question!
We did see Moloch Gibbons leaping around having fun, but we also saw this guy. Now I know we can anthropomorphise animals but to me he was sadness personified!
This shot works for me because the eyes are split across the link in the fence. See below for one where the framing is slightly different.
Poor Bogart has a sore leg right now. That's hard on a three-legged dog. We're not quite sure what happened, but he's in pain: he has a distinctive limp. Last time Bogart's leg hurt, it was because he tripped over a cat. . . who knows if something similar happened this time. Bogart is pretty much confined to the house right now. The longest walk he's had in several days is down to the end of the driveway and back. Poor boy. I have him on an NSAID right now, but we have to be careful with that. . . those can be really hard on dogs. Psychologically, a dog like Bogart needs exercise. He's doing remarkably well for not burning off excess energy, but he's definitely not as content these days. . .

These delicious beans symbolize summer for me. They are great, straight off the plant if they are very young.
Later, they develop a lectin, or hemagglutinin toxin and should be cooked before eating.
"Say to those who are of a fearful heart,
"Be strong, fear not!
Behold, your God
will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you."
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
then shall the lame man leap like a hart,
and the tongue of the dumb sing for joy"
- Isaiah 35:4-6, which is part of today's First Reading at Mass.

Near the Columbia River on the Washington side between Portland and the Dalles. This is a wildlife sanctuary, Schreiner Farms, with a short road you can drive on to see the penned in animals. The entrance is just east of Murdock, WA, across the river from The Dalles, OR. If you want to read more about this zebra, go here. According to the site they are Plains Zebra called Damara. They inhabit the plains regions from southern Sudan and southern Ethiopia through eastern Africa to southern and southwestern Africa.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
We want to thank you for your interest in our work and thanks for visiting our work on Flickr, we do appreciate you and the contributions you make in furthering our interest in photography and on social media in general.

Longing for Medina This typical calendar image of Mecca and Medina shrines has something unique: bleeding pigeons - probably symbolizing the artist's (and devotee's) longing and inability to visit Medina. Not to miss the artist's byline at the bottom: Balkrishna. (The symbol of bleeding pigeons has also been noticed in Christian iconography).
