I love it when a family of these suddenly descend into the garden.

This Long-eared Owl was taking a break from hunting over the fields, it gave me a glance but was otherwise unbothered by my presence as it continued to hunt nearby.

This image shows the full length drop of the waterfalls in the previous upload, taken at a different time of year. At the bottom, the burn takes a sharp dogleg to the right to continue its journey down the hillside.
