The long-billed curlew has a long bill that curves downwards. These were walking around mud and water, picking out tasty morsels. With their long beaks they can poke deeper into the mud than many other birds.

Long overdue, here is the first roll out from my new Contax G1 with the 35/2. I really love this camera, more than I would have ever guessed. I never wanted a autofocus compact, and yet here we are.

Eric from Couchsurfing invited me to come over to Long Island. He lives in a small but cosy apartment on the campus of Brookville, where he works as organiser of activities for students. He let me sleep on his couch and we had dinner together in a nearby town. I walked around on the campus while Eric was warking. He gave me his bike, so I could cycle over the island to see the surroundings. Most of the land is occupied with huge villas and luxury houses. Along the coast there are beautiful wetlands and little beach resorts.

tagged again! so here is a paragraph all about me.

lets start with my full name, Amber Rose Gregory, 19yrs graduated highschool in 2009. very quiet to strangers, can be sarcastic, and i like to keep an open mind when it comes to opinions and such. i have a half sister and a younger brother, middle child :p my best friend in the entire world lives far far away in florida, sad. i miss him all the time. im not a fan of driving, i use to be a nervous wreck everytime i would get behind the wheel, but i am getting more comfortable with it. i said before how i can be very quiet...one thing i dont like is when people hold that against me. i dont see it fair. i love animals, cats, dogs anything cute with a face :p whenever i see a dog even if its grown i yell, "PUPPIES!" Bridget my dog is my favorite in the family lol and one more thing, i have no friggen clue what the hell i want to major in. pain in the ass.
