Big estate pub, perhaps from the 1930s? Had a few extensions over the years by the look of it.

They're quite happy to hang around whilst you photograph them, although I'd suggest not getting too close. Something which some people don't take heed...

An old farm where an attempt to build houses was defeated. And boy could there have been a LOT of houses on this land.

This curved arch depicts that there's been a settlement in Purfleet for some time - the inside of the arch also has inscriptions too.

As the tide rises, the diver becomes submerged, reappearing later when the water levels recede once more.

Dartford Crossing (Queen Elizabeth II Bridge), River Thames. Viewed from Purfleet.

It looks like the tree was once uprooted, or just fell down. However it's kept on growing, and despite being on its side, has gone up and up.
