Logistical Support Element Kandahar held a hail and farewell in their Kandahar office to recognize the achievements of departing members and welcome newly arrived ones. Anthony J. Wojnar, a logistical assistance representative was recognized for his exemplary service with the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service. The team also welcomed several new members.

Crashed a glass in his eye nd beat him down while insultin him dirtty foreigner !!!! They wanted to kill him but he could mke it to the security. When they cme bck with security those guys have disappeared in the crowd. Police and ambulance were called. Ambulance cme nd waited more than 20 min for police who didnt show up. So they rushed to hospital. He was operated several times. Police came the next mornin to hospital

Maj. Gen. Patricia E. McQuistion visited May 4-6. While in Afghanistan she met with Soldiers and Civilians serving the warfighters. She traveled all over Afghanistan meeting with the logisticians who sustain the war effort here. Her tour included visits to responsible property assistant team yards, maintenance facilities, program managers and other service providers.

Clinger, manned by a 163rd Transportation Detachment crew, got underway from its homeport at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on June 2 to conduct the first of eight surface lifts between Kaneohe Bay and Kawaihae Harbor in support of 3rd Marines as part of the biennial Rim of the Pacific 2014 exercise. LSV-2 will also partner with 25th Infantry Division's 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, for casualty evacuation operations and a shipboard aerial resupply with the New Zealand Navy, and conduct Logistics over the Shore operations during RIMPAC 2014.
