Tribute to our logistic team and, among us, to Mickael, friend and 150% dedicated aidworker who was in Haiti since the 15th of january, and who left last monday to fly back France.
Souvenir from the time when our working days were starting before 7am, ending past midnight, 7/7.... Adrenaline, team spirit and dedication can be a good fuel during several weeks (mix with some C vitamin and a lot of coffee, though... ;) )...
Souvenir from the time when we were falling asleep after 3 minutes of being driven in a car despite the bad roads and dubious drivers skills, or during the daily logistic meetings starting at 10 or 11pm......
Souvenir from the time when our nights were short and broken with dogs howlings, with mad rooster songs, with earthquakes replicas, with hollow sound of the 2 pounds fruits falling off the trees and squashing on our tents, with mattresses sliding to the bottom of the tents... oh, wait... we still have most of this fun :)
But above all this, souvenir from the time when the leitmotiv was to move heaven and earth to provide in a blink our field departments with all the stuff they needed to help the citizens with food, water and nutriments distribution, psychological support, sanitation structures...
The team has been good... Go Logistic ! :)
