On February 16th we made a brief stop at Lock 14 on the Mississippi River near Davenport on our way home from our daughter's house in Iowa. I had made the trip and spent 6 hours at this location a couple of weeks earlier photographing the eagles. Since we were driving right by we wanted to stop and see if there were still any eagles there. It was a little after 4:00 so not much good light left - but there were still a dozen or more eagles around. They were pretty much settling in for the evening it seemed - but I was able to get a few shots before the light wasn't any good. Fun place!

This is the north chamber of Enlarged Erie Canal Lock 59 in Newark, NY. Located on North Clinton Street across from Barge Lock 28-B.

Lock
Another photo from yesterday's visit to Berkswell. I thought the sunlight showed off the lock and the rust on the village stocks to great effect. So, I've got the lock and the stocks - now all I need are the two smoking barrels!
I walked out of Monmouth Coffee in Borough Market in London and saw what I thought was a scene from the film Lock Stock.
Even a city like London has some beautiful views although just out of shot is a crack addict reading Heat magazine, a woman being shot in the shin and a double decker bus crashing into a B&Q.
