Handling Specialty has experience with loading dock equipment. Here is a 20,000 lb. capacity custom hydraulic scissor lift table for transferring Rolls of Paper.
Handling Specialty's design of custom high-capacity lifts is suited ideally to the newspaper industry where tons of rolls of paper are handled daily. For the Houston Chronicle, a 20,000 lb. capacity lift was designed for the unloading of 5,000 lb. paper rolls. Delivered by transport to loading docks, the transport stops in front of the lift which raises to the height of the dock and back of the transport. Once emptied, the lift lowers and the present transport leaves, making way for the next shipment.

In 2004 my Father was in the forth stage of Barrett Disease. Which is a rare form of esophagus cancer. Not only had they been happily married for almost 50 years. my mother also had a brain disease that made her severely disabled, so he was also her care-taker. My father had to have a very dangerous surgery if he was to survive. The surgery went well but for many days he was totally out of it. To the point that we thought his brain might have been damaged. On this day we was going to go to the hospital but we wanted to leave mom at home. We really didn't want to upset her anymore then she all ready was. But she insisted actually got quite bull-headed. Imagine our surprise when he jumped up out of bed like he'd never been sick. You can just see the love in my beautiful mom's face as the worry melted away.

It was B's first trip to the zoo, in January of 2006. This was before they built the giraffe overlook, and instead the giraffes just reached over the back fence for their treats. We went to feed them, and B, just a year old, reached his little hand up with the biscuit... and the giraffe reached and reached, stretching its tongue waaaaay out... and B suddenly shot out his other hand and came THIS CLOSE to grabbing the tongue! Seriously, THIS CLOSE. It was awesome. Unfortunately, my slow camera just missed the moment, but we'll definitely never forget it.

An interesting heavy haulage (and craneage) job going on at the Los Christianos harbour wall. Six and eight wheel tractor units and low loaders hauling concrete blocks for a massive crawler crane to lift and lower into the sea, I can't get close to the crane there but I can at the loading point. We are walking seven mile to get there, the sun is shining so Jayne isn't bothered, other people go to Loro tropical park, she says we go to the lorry park( only for half an hour, and it is on our normal walking route)
