Samantha Freida and Jeffery Harvey!!!

I was so excited when my mom got me my 2 cabbage patch kids. I loved their smell, dimples and I especially loved the diapers that came with them. I spent hours playing with them...a favorite memory!!!

# Ten :- Loading...

Making my way into town brought a lot of opportunities so being selective about what I consider to shoot key. A few snaps were taken but it was Woolworths old loading bay with its lovely red Biffa bin that took my eye the most. God bless the bad weather and all the inspiration it has brought me.

Day Seven

Doodling...I don't often think of myself as a doodler, but I tried.

It might be dumb to scrap about how I scrap, but I thought it was interesting considering the topic.

Journaling reads:

"I don't very often use sketches to help design my pages. Usually, I just have an idea & I go with it. This time however, I wanted some uniformity. I've used the same sketch for all my pages about my summer concert series & I've loved the way the pages have turned out! 10-11"

Journaling reads:

Color is everywhere in Mexico! We walked by this colorful fence everytime we went to our hotel. Its purpose was to fence in the Kids Club playground. But for me, it added some cheer to the walk back to my room. I felt I had to document this vibrant fence.

An old loading dock, closed off with corrugated metal sheets.

This photograph is the companion to another one I recently shared that features a different part of the same old building. It is a weathered old building with loading docks on both sides that is in a gentrifying light industrial area of San Jose. It has all the features you’d expect — it is next to an old rail line, it is on a fairly major street, its exterior features concrete, corrugated metal, and some very weathered wood.

I had been thinking about photographing it for a while but never seemed to get around to it, despite the fact that we are there fairly regularly. There are now some newer businesses in the building that we patronize. I finally remembered to take a camera as I went out for a long walk that would take me there, and I paused to photograph this old loading dock, now obviously abandoned, with its interesting geometric forms.

Union Pacific's LUL58 local prepares to depart Provo Utah with components for converting the Intermountain Power Project plant from coal to natural gas, a process that is slated to be completed by 2025 and will eliminate the IPPX fleet of coal hoppers. I am told that these loads are heat recovery steam generator tubes which will pass exhaust steam from the gas turbines to the existing turbine to maximize thermal efficiency. 13 March 2023.

Same as the other pic, front view. Funny thing, before Google updated some of their Street View images, there was a CCC/Leach rear loader in almost the same place...I took a screenshot, but it was on an old computer that has since been lost to a virus.

I enjoyed mini Load's flirtation with Traveler's Notebook "album" so I'm continuing this time around, too!
