I find it hard to believe that you are nine years old now. Where did the time go? You are growing up so fast and truly becoming more of a man every day. You are a hard worker and are always there to help Daddy with the next job. You are also a wonderful big brother always making time for Christopher and Caleb and making them feel good. I can really see you beginning to grow into the man God wants you to be and I am so proud of you! Jacob Walter 8/2010.

Approximately 50 Soldiers from the Wisconsin Army National Guard's 724th Engineer Battalion used chainsaws, wood chippers, front end loaders and back hoe loaders, along with muscle power, to clear timber Monday (Sept. 19) felled by a powerful storm in northern Wisconsin. The Soldiers, along with supervised inmates from the state Department of Corrections, have been clearing selected areas in two northern Wisconsin counties since Sept. 6 where the fallen timber poses a fire hazard as well as a safety hazard this winter. [The background story]

My journaling is a brief intro to the way my mind works and it's a little more than crazy. While I'm not on the extreme end of OCD for all things, I'm pretty close. At least I know how to laugh at myself.

Journaling reads:

"I'm more than a little OCD about things in my life - but I call it CDO so the letters are in alphabetical order like they should be. I'm also a tad ADD so sometimes you never know what to expect out of me. Home decor and most things done with a quantity must be an odd number. Certain things have a very certain order, especially when I am cleaning & organizing. In my car, as soon as I get in, I lock the doors so I don't fall out & when it's time to lock the doors when I'm out of my car, it's gotta be done three times. I always have two hairties on my wrists and one in my hair. I love order of all types & although I'm not as extreme as some, I do tend to drive friends & family crazy. They are little things - quirks that make me-me. Here's a favorite pic of ducks!"

My tool was a stencil. I haven't done any mixed media techniques for well over a year (or two!) so I think that qualifies as an old tool!! The passports are in a separate 6x12 pocket to keep them intact and with the page but still accessible should anyone want to pull one out and look through it.

The process video is still saving and I'll probably set it to upload overnight as hubby wants to watch Mission Impossible 5! Stay tuned!!

Process video is up and you can find it here: youtu.be/e4t2u6278ZU

I decided to embrace more white space than I normally do in response to today's prompt. For more on this photo please visit my site at alisondaydesigns.com. thanks!

I'm finally looking at pictures I took a long time ago to see if they are worth keeping. This was taken January 2008 in downtown Walla Walla, WA in an alley. According to the sign painted on the bricks in the upper left (out of sight) this was the Walla Walla Candy Co. Manufacturers & Jobbers of Confectionery.

I did the opposite of the revolver and that is hope. Today, I toured the Parade Company that puts on the Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade. It gave me hope, pride and awe. I used beautiful day content from Creative Memoires and Beautiful Birthday editions. I can't remember the font.

I love using squares and clean lines, so this prompt was right up my alley! It was great to get so many pictures of my son's 3rd birthday (he's 4 now) scrapped for his childhood album.

The journaling syas: "We held your third birthday party in our newly developed basement. You wanted a Thomas theme, so the cake, decorations and games all featured Thomas! You had Amy, Sean, Ellie and Collin over to help celebrate and you all had such a great time! In the evening we had a family dinner with another cake and even more presents! You are so lucky little man! I can't believe you are 3 already. You are growing so fast! Could you slow down just a bit? Love Mom!"
