My wife and I traveled by Amtrak to visit family in Maryland. We started our journey in Fayetteville, NC. Pictured is the loading platform at the depot. Across the tracks is the Airborne museum building.

Birthday parties are something my kids were always use to having - I love planning birthday's it was an event I always found great pleasure in. As the kids got older and were able to participate more in the theme, I always would ask "what theme or type of birthday are you wanting this year"?

Lauren's 16th birthday was approaching , so I asked her "what do you have in mind to do for your Sweet 16 party? She responded with great excitement "I want to go to Chuck E. Cheese"! I said really you're not kidding? She said nope Chuck E. Cheese that's it!!

Needless to say, I was extremely worried, I thought what 16 year old wants to go to Chuck E. Cheese for their 16th birthday. and my second thought was OMG no one will come? What will I do she will be so hurt when no one shows up?? So I did all my normal party planning and thought I will make this the best birthday ever, even if no one comes?

Well, what do I know every teenager invited showed up, and they had a blast!! I have never seen them have more fun together! So lesson learned trust your daughter and the friendships she has made! Have a party and they'll come!!

Load Description: Car part stamping machines at 116,000 lbs. each.

I love this photo of my boys intertubing in Tahoe. It reminds me of how alike they are, and how much they both love me. I see it, and I feel like glowing.

And again, funky lighting! I love how one corner actually has the right color grey! :) You guess which one!

I found this close from our new place across the tracks.

I like the light a lot.

Working off yesterday's prompt, it inspired me to get my wedding album back out and start working on it again. This is one of my favorite photos that we had taken at the wedding and I wanted to do something fun and special with it. I took an idea that I saw hanging up in Archivers one night and ran with it. I think I am happy with how it turned out. Will hopefully work on the second page tommorrw.

One of the smaller seiners takes on board the nets used for catching the salmon. I hope they are lucky, as there's nothing like a nice, thick sockeye salmon steak!

Got Attention?

All I have to do is point the camera in her direction and it’s like an ON switch has been turned. Sammie loves attention. She loves people watching her. She loves the camera. And baby, the camera loves her!

For at least a few people, June 9th was the official day to celebrate the 6x9 cm format. The sixth month, the ninth day: got it? And I was one of those numerologically induced people who picked up their 6x9 cameras that day. I shot eight pictures in my Bessa. My Bessa was my first old camera, bought for me twenty-odd years ago by my wife as a birthday present. The morning of June 9th, I put a roll of six-years-expired Ilford XP-2 Super in it (the film had expired March 2004). I carried the camera with me all day.

As I went to a morning meeting in another building, I went through the loading zone in the basement where a wag has put a mannequin's head. It's been there several years to my amusement. It often has a baseball cap on, or a cigarette in its mouth. This morning, it was sporting a nice hair-do and moustache.

The Bessa has hairy bits hanging into its film frame and I've not been very quick to clean them out.

Really happy to have completed another month of load!

i am not sure if this counts as 1 embellishment or not but i considered my beads as 1 embellishment.and of course i had to sew them on with thread.
