If you think this Kittiwake is adopting a strange pose, take a look at this link,
www.flickr.com/gp/12820758@N04/3648ND you will see what they had to contend with.... The wind was blowing up the cliff face so hard that all the birds were gliding into the cliff face, stopping like this, turning around and backing onto their nests. I have never seen or heard anything like it. I don't think I would have bothered lol

This shot was taken standing on the walk bridge over the South Link in Cork.
Looking back across the estuary towards Roachestown, I just managed to catch the last light of the sunset and it was dark enough to get some light trails from the cars below
Out in the middle of nowhere on a desert world, a bustling city rises from the sands.

Ocean Falls is noted for its abundance of rain – about 4,390mm/172.8in annually, and it is sometimes referred to as the “Land of the Rain People.” The Heiltsuk (helts-uk) First Nations people have inhabited the coastal region surrounding Ocean Falls for more than 9,000 years. The town is remote and only accessible by private boat, B.C. Ferries, or floatplane. It is situated around a waterfall from Link Lake (25km in length) straight into the head of Cousins Inlet, 88km/55mi northwest of Bella Coola.
TORRENT DUCKS Merganetta armata. A pair of Torrent Ducks [female on left, male on right] is pausing on its journey downstream in the rapids of the Río Papallacta on the upper east slope of the Andes in northern Ecuador at 2:29 PM on November 4, 2018. Four seconds after this photo, they resumed their downstream voyage, the female sliding off to the right of the boulder while the male climbed atop the boulder and then dived forward.
An iconic bird of South America, the Torrent Duck belongs to the family Anatidae. It lives in rushing mountain streams and is found in the Andes of South America from northwestern Venezuela, Colombia, and Ecuador south to Tierra del Fuego.

…… Whilst scratching my head & wondering what to photograph today I was struck just how much colour there actually is to be enjoyed in the garden right now! - flowers have all but gone, but between the berries and the leaves there is still much to be found. And my #269 shot of the day was hiding behind a leaf - a Camellia fruit!! Taken on my phone in Apple RAW then edited in Lightroom. Alan:-)

STOP ISRAEL BARBARITY
We are not stupid!
******************************************
I´m not allowed by Flickr to link my personal website.... amazing....! After so many years... Maybe it´s a consequence of the Israel message, I don´t want to think bad, but I don´t believe in coincidences, moreover when lots of user are allowed to. In fact, my account "has been removed from flickr searches and other public sites" If I continue here is because the great number of friends I´ve meet, but I´m taking advantage of this in order to complain and let you see the kind of injustice that Flickr is doing these days. Let´s see who can be more annoying...
Please visit my profile
This is the kind of things that flickr has to take care of (THIEVES):

Where is it said that personal websites are not allowed? I do not do a commercial use of it!!! I´m a economist and work in a saving bank!!
TRUE THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, MY FRIENDS. IT´S WHAT MAKES ME THINK TO CONTINUE HERE

After settling into Rifugio Fanes, our accommodation for the night, I wandered down to a nearby waterhole which I had noticed on our way there.
When I first got there, these peaks were dull as clouds were covering the sun, so I had been facing the opposite direction. But then I turned around a saw this! One of the best, if not the best view of the whole hike. And I was the only person there to enjoy it.
I process my photos with Lightroom as well as Skylum's Luminar and find it easy to use with great results. Here is a link if anyone is interested in trying it out: skylum.grsm.io/janetteasche8660
I hiked several miles up onto the new section of the Foothills Parkway last January before it opened up to make these pictures. I believe it is one of the prettiest views of the Smoky Mountains particularly since you can drive there now that it is open.
This section of the parkway is known as the "Missing Link"
Please click "L: to see it on black where it can be fully appreciated. Thanks:)

There are two Disney Store Limited Edition Brave items that were first noticed on the US Disney Store website on May 14, 2012, but were not part of the new arrivals group. In fact, when they were first noticed (by browsing on keyword 'brave') they were both already sold out. By next day, they were already not searchable by keyword (but the pages were still viewable via a direct link or product code). I wonder whether these were actually for sale at some earlier date, or are merely placeholders for a future release.
The items and web links to them are as follows:
