For a class on experimental media. The first assignment was to use a camera to capture the world in a way that the human eye cannot, with Vertov's "Man with a Movie Camera" as the inspiration. Vertov's film, made in 1929, was one of the first to use experimental filming and editing techniques to transcend these limits of human vision.v

Roma, buche ‘mitologiche’: ritrovata la culla di Romolo e Remo
Sono tante, troppe per essere contate, le buche e i “crateri” a Roma e ognuno di essi crea problemi e disagi. Ma ad attirare l’attenzione dei romani, grazie ad un post della pagina Facebook “Trastevere App”, è una particolare buca in Piazza dei Ponziani.
La buca, recintata con la non molto estetica rete arancione da diversi mesi, si è resa protagonista grazie ad un cartello lasciato da un anonimo che riporta la scritta:
“ZONA ARCHEOLOGICA Sovrintendenza ai beni culturali RITROVAMENTO DELLA CULLA DI ROMOLO E REMO Avvenuto nel dicembre 2018. – DIVIETO DI FOTOGRAFARE, – DIVIETO DI APPOGGIARSI ALLA RECINZIONE”
La scritta lascia supporre che il cartello sia stato lasciato a dicembre dello scorso anno, quindi due mesi fa. Ciò significa che sono due mesi che la buca con l’annessa recinzione si trovano ad occupare la strada, rendendo difficile la vita di romani, turisti e commercianti che si ritrovano a percorrere la via.
Ma le buche a Roma sono tante
Ma questa non è l’unica recinzione lasciata a mettere radici nel cuore di Roma. Sono tante le strade che non sono solo deturpate dalle buche (e da molti altri problemi come la spazzatura), ma anche da enormi reti arancioni che rendono la città sempre meno fedele a sé stessa. Le reti dovrebbero essere posizionate solo per un periodo limitato e dovrebbero avere l’unico scopo di segnalare una zona pericolante fino al termine dei lavori. Ma i lavori a Roma non iniziano mai e le reti si sommano, e la città più bella del mondo diventa sempre più brutta.
Roma, la città eterna, la città senza tempo, ricca di storia, cultura e scorci da perdere il fiato è diventata una groviera. I monumenti non sono più la prima cosa che ti viene in mente pensando alla Capitale. Il Colosseo è stato sostituito dalle buche, i Fori Imperiali dalla spazzatura e Piazza Venezia da gli autobus in fiamme.
Ovviamente non possiamo limitarci a parlare del centro della città, perché tutta Roma, tutti i suoi municipi nessuno escluso, è in stato di degrado. E anche se le strade vengono riparate, i romani non sono stupidi e capiscono che stanno ricevendo soltanto un contentino di scarsa qualità. Infatti, molte delle riparazioni saltano entro due giorni e la situazione torna come o peggio di prima.
Ma Roma ha anche una fortuna grande, o meglio due. La prima è l’ironia dei romani, fondamentale per la sopravvivenza in questo periodo di crisi della città. La seconda è che Roma sarà sempre Roma, nonostante chi la governi.

To discover Thetford Forest on foot, try the pine trail, the Nature trail or go on the six-mile Fir trail linked with the Beech trail - all follow wide open paths. Practise your map reading skills on our orienteering course. For younger adventurers, there’s the Squirrel Scamper trail. To discover Thetford Forest by bike, start with the Shepherd trail or the poacher trail. Test your mountain bike skill on the Beater trail or Lime Burner trail. Test your limits at the Bike Pits. Site entry fee per vehicle applies and an annual Discovery Pass is available to purchase. Pay-to-play activities and food services are provided by business partners on site.
