My latest Harley Davidson model: a Street Glide custom.

Like my other Harley's I made it in scale: 1/10, and out of genuine Lego.

Some parts are aftermarket custom parts (based on Lego), like the chrome-gold wheels, and engine parts. Others are chrome plated.

This bike also has a full lightset, including battery, housed in the sidebags.

A big thanks to Rob at www.brickstuff.com for supporting me with his Lego lighting systems!

Also thnx to Auri at Chromeblock City for his support on this project!

I know that so much of the time it feels like there are a thousand hands and arms and teeth pulling at you and talking at you, trying to drag you along into a place where you fit more neatly and somehow everyone might be comfortable. But you can't give up being rumpled and smudged and daring and resilient.

You have to tenderly unclasp all those brittle fingers from the place they sank in one by one, and you have to begin to move away now from voice upon voice asking you to buy something for your lips and your self-confidence and the life you saw on TV that eludes you.

And in your own mind the places that you have a fist clenched around that holds the kisses you regret, the arguments you cried through, lonely 3 ams and the strange guilt you sometimes feel just for being present; you have to open your trembling death-grip there too.

You have to step back from what you decided with too much help that you should look like and sound like and feel like and where it seems that you should have come from and where you should be headed to next.

You've always been shining.

When did you begin to forget?

Apartment building of amazing wallpaper (now demolished), Niedringhaus St., downtown Granite City, IL.

You’re the only thing I need and

You’ve become the only thing that keeps me breathing

Without you I’d be

In a dark place with no light switch,

An open wound without a stitch,

Maybe now you will understand

No matter how stable your foundation may seem

Everything is crashing down on me

With paper cuts on finger tips, blackened eyes and open lips

Forever wounded it’s hard to tell

You’re the only thing I need

Whether I fail or succeed

Within my blindness, you are all I see

The morning fog, sun burns away

A predator’s eye without its prey

Maybe now you will understand

I won’t quit on you

No I won’t quit on you

I won’t let it in

Ever, ever, ever, ever

I caught this light switch at my gym. They already fixed it but I'm glad I got this shot, it's odd but unique and kinda symbolizes things for me... most of all, watching out for flying dumbells.

I've come to realize that all emotions come from desire

And the pain is from when the heart sets the mind on fire.

I know that it seems that I have been hiding away,

It's because it has all been said - and there's nothing more to say.

So don't come in if you're going to scream and shout;

Leave emotions at the door - don't let them come out.

Our Daily Challenge-Light Switch

The Dutch say Outen The Lights. This is out in our barn.

Tulsa, Oklahoma.

8.22.07.

The tree of us enter the Batcave and it's verry dark. I put my flashlight on while I'm looking for the lightswitch. Helena and Michael are looking at the batmobile.

Hntrs: "What do you think happened?"

Azrl: "I honestly have no idea. It looks like they didn't take any vehicles."

Hntrs: "Yeah..."

Azrl: "You know, I told you about my past, but what about yours?"

Hntrs: "There isn't a lot to know about me. My name is Helena Bertinelli, my parents were part of the maffia and they were gunned down by a rival family. I swore to myself I would kill all crime famillies, but Batman made me see the light and I would quit killing people. He invited me to join the Justice League and I accepted, but the Hall of Justice was attacked and destroyed by a lot of mercenaries, hired by Vandal Savage. I was supposed to make sure nobody was sneaking upon a team existing of Zatara, Green Lantern, Vixen, Elongated Man, Blue Beetle and Red Tornado. But I was distracted by Tigress and I left my position, which got Zatara, Elongated Man and Blue Beetle killed, Green Lantern critically injured, Red Tornado blown apart and Flash needed to come in to save Vixen. They kicked me out of the League, but Batman didn't give up on me. I became part of the BatFamily and the Birds of Prey. And here I am."

Azrl: "Oh wow. Not what I call a good past."

Hntrs: "To be honest, I wouldn't want it any other way."

While I was looking for the lightswitch, I stepped on a whiskey bottle.

NW: "This can't be good."

Hntrs: "What do you mean?"

NW: "This is one of Alfred's whiskey bottles."

Hntrs: "Oh no..."

I finally found the lightswitch and I turned it on. What I saw was horrible...

NW: "Alfred..."

Hntrs: "Oh my god! Alfred! What happened!"

Alf: "I lost my son..."

Hntrs: "Wha-"

NW: "Bruce was like a son to him. Alfred, alcohol isn't the way of taking care of your problems. It never does. They aren't dead, you know that. I lost my father, brother and girlfriend, but we'll find them! But it will be harder if we have to worry about you."

Hntrs: "It's true Alfie. We care about you, and we need you. We can't afford to lose you to alcohol."

Azrl: "I've had my own fight with alcohol, mr Pennyworth. When my wife and son died, I also turned to alcohol. Alcohol led me to the order of St. Dumas, to confess my sins, and look what happened. I indeed quited alcohol, but they turned me into a killing machine, their next angel of death, the second Azrael. But look at me now, I had friends to help me, and become the man who I am today."

Alf: "..."

Hntrs: "Just go sit down and let me get you some water."

While Huntress gets some water for Alfred, my comlink turns on. It's Kate.

NW: "Hey Kate. I thought you and Bette would be in Gotham by now. We could really need you help here."

BW: "Yeah, that's kind of the reason I called."

NW: "What do you mean?"

BW: "We can't get in."

FIA Group C 1989.

Jaguar's answer to the turbo era, the XJR-10/11 cars used the v6 engine from the Metro Group B rally car with a pair of turbochargers stuck on it. Drivers would say it had the tractability of a lightswitch.

The chassis and bodywork were a continuation of Tony Southgate's work on the preceding v12 XJR cars. Nearly identical aero approaches defined very similar nose and windscreen profiles as well as the distinctive rear wheel covers. The more compact drivetrain allowed for tidier rear bodywork. An adaptation of the car for IMSA GTP regulations ran as the XRJ-10 in Castrol colors.

I love photography and photograph myself to continue to learn and improve. You have the right to read anything into my images, and draw your own conclusions. Just don't be rude or hurtful in deciding yourself what type of person I am, based on my work you see here. I'm addicted and of course enjoy photographing other things too. Im just ever trying to learn more and to take images that knock you dead.

I recently watched the Photographer of the Year judges video with much interest. (congrats to those that got shortlisted - I'll try again next year) Their advice, to keep taking, keep sharing, keep entering competitions, and to keep taking photos of what you love, have spurred and encouraged me.

This photo is for the Theme Of The Week : Feeling Fit

As a fan of toned stong arms I shot first with my back to camera, to emphasise the arms bound in ribbon, but turning around I found I got something I was much happier with. This maybe could be edited and improved, something they say is as important as taking the photo, but this is the SOOC shot, that worked for me.

I was walking around the Second City Council Art Gallery (the reception site for Natalie & Tyler) on Saturday with several thousand dollars worth of wedding rings in my hand, looking for something unique to do with them. Then I saw this light switch, hiding in the corner, with the auspicious note to leave the switch on the right on, which were the lights above the bride & groom’s table. Needless to say, seeing that note on there just got me excited. Probably the easiest wedding ring shot I’ve ever done, but also probably my favorite.

The rest of their photos are here in their gallery along with another favorite ring shot. (guess which one)
