Pretty Reckless

Light Me Up

Is what I'm wearing seem to shock you?

Well, that's okay

Cause what I'm thinking about you is not okay

Got it on my mind to change my ways

But I don't think I can be anything other than me

I don't think I can be anything other than me

You have a light

Can you make me feel alright?

There's plenty of light to go around

Do you think it's right when you hit me to the ground?

Well, light me up when I'm down

Is what I'm saying seem to haunt you?

Well, that's okay

Cause what I'm saying about you is not okay

Got it on my mind to change my ways

But I don't think I can be anything other than me

I don't think I can be anything other than me

You have a light

Can you make me feel alright?

There's plenty of light to go around

Do you think it's right when you hit me to the ground?

Well, light me up when I'm down

Light me up when I'm down

Is what I'm taking seem to bother you?

Well, that's okay

Cause I can't take it all without you, and I'm okay

Got it on my mind to change my ways

But I don't think I can be anything other than me

I don't think I can be anything other than me

You have a light

Can you make me feel alright?

There's plenty of light to go around

Do you think it's right when you hit me to the ground?

Well, light me up when I'm down

Yes it was that brilliant on Saturday after the storm, most of the snow has melted only some areas on our lawn they are some patches.

This was taken outside the Nursery, I just laid the camera on the cement border and clicked.

... with a lightpost for the traffic lights. Long ago, back in 2001-2003, I worked in offices about halfway up in the pinkish-brown building.

Paseo Fernando Quiñones is located at one end of La Caleta beach and is formed by a long and narrow promenade over the sea. This narrow strip of land is actually called an isthmus because it has water on both sides. This bridge connects the mainland with the nearby Cádiz Lighthouse and the Castle of San Sebastián that is found at the end of it. This walkway has wonderful vistas along with stunning views of the sunset!

It's all the little things and attention to detail that makes our historic district a fun place to photograph.

No post production... just a good crop in the "viewfinder" and nearly perfect lighting.

The first penny-farthing bicycle was invented in 1871 by James Starley.

Look carefully, there are two lightposts in this photo.

A commuter train station and Memorial Drive extend across the middle of the photo. In the foreground is the north ramp access to the station, and in the background are the office buildings of east downtown Calgary.

Fantasy Faire 2025, a benefit for the American Cancer Society, runs until May 8th (per the signs located at each region's landing point).

This small pier and its solitary lightpost caught my attention, so I planted my tripod in the cold beach sand by the waterline and started snapping away.

Suddenly, a person appeared from the right. I was doing twenty-second exposures at the time and didn't have time to adjust my camera settings – at those exposure times, walking people disappear from photos completely.

The person walked past my scene and stopped at the end of the pier. As I changed my settings (I figured a one-second exposure would yield interesting results), they just stood there in the vast darkness, perhaps contemplating existence and the universe, or perhaps having a smoke. I almost thought they were gone, vanished into the blackness, or maybe my mind was playing tricks on me and they were never there in the first place. Then I noticed movement, walking. It was no man! It was an abhorrent beast, a foul being risen from the icy Baltic Sea, had three legs but no face... Alrigh, alright, it was a man (you can tell by the Adidas sneakers), but you have to admit it's a mysterious shot nonetheless.
