Just below the Vista House, off the Columbia River Gorge, you will find this serpentine road. The concrete fence, adorned with light posts and a rainy day, made for a pretty cool black and white photo opportunity.
I missed the bus, but I didn't miss a chance to get that pigeon in the photo:)

From the remains of the Glines Canyon Dam on the Elwha River
Glines Canyon Dam (also known as Upper Elwha Dam[2]), built in 1927, is a 210-foot (64 m) high concrete arch dam that forms Lake Mills 13 miles (21 km) upstream from the Elwha River's mouth.
The Elwha Ecosystem Restoration project began removal of the dam in September 2011, an effort expected to continue over a period of 2.5 – 3 years. Once removed, the area that is currently under Lake Mills will be revegetated and its banks secured to prevent erosion and to speed up ecological restoration.

We walked to the arboretum on the Penn State University campus, and a very kind person alerted us to what she thought might be a Coopers Hawk. Turned out to be a juvenile Red-tailed hawk, and it posed for us from tree to lightpost to tree to ground to tree😄. Other shots to follow..
Shot at the end of a night of shooting the stars. I stopped at this dock to see what the sunrise would look like. I made no plan but was able to capture the angles of the dock, the light stands, and the sun.
This was run through Pixelmator Pro for some touch ups.
Well this is actually the government's official party house. Imagine all the prominent and powerful people that have drunk themselves silly there. It kind of looked like it had hangover when I walked by last Saturday morning. But as the windows all seemed unbroken and there were no broken beerbottles or vomits outside I figure last party must have been quite tame.
It's an HDR from 3 exposures with the usual postprocessing in Photoshop.
I love sunsets by the water soon will be going regularly there,

A massive fire broke out few months ago at a building in central Kolkata's Bagri Market area. I took this picture there on that time. Here two fire men working together. About 30 fire engines have been trying to douse the fire in the congested area on Canning Street. There has been no injury as the fire broke out late in the night and no one was present.
After being cooped up all day in the house, finally broke out after work hours to go on a sunset drive.

I used Samsung's AI to remove a couple of lightposts on the right side of the lift, so they then add the watermark saying it's AI generated content.
