Usually I don't plan my photos ahead. This was an exception. I had shot this lightpost in the dark before, but felt like the scene was missing something. Last Sunday was full moon, so I set out with my camera and tripod to give it another go. What do you think?

Lamps glow in the sunlight in downtown Oakland, CA.

Even the lighthouse is drowning. The reaper is the dude of death under the lihghthouse, holding a lightpost instead of a scythe.

I'm not lost, just wandering. Where I end up is not as important as what I see along the way.

Basilica Reale Pontificia San Francesco da Paola, a church located to the west in Piazza del Plebiscito, the main square of Naples, Italy. This church was completed in 1846.

Cádiz is a wonderful city to walk around and explore, even on a cloudy and rainy day. Walking along the sea wall next to Campo del Sur Avenue you can see city hall in the distance.

This was a white, fluffy blossom, a stand out among the clematis blooms that climbed up this light post, This is all that remains, -- September 21, 2023

Well, assuming we don't count the bird perched on the lightpost.

This was taken from our dinning room,

There is a snowdrift in that roof corner were it meets the second floor,

I had to break some of them Yesterday as it was getting to much. all those grid patterns are created by the mesh on the window.

#URBAN LIGHT AT LACMA

"Urban Light is an extremely popular exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and consists of a collection of 202 vintage street lights. Simple but powerful, this exhibit is busy at all times with tourists. The 2008 installation consists of restored street lamps from the 1920s and 1930s. Most of them once lit the streets of Southern California."

A solitary lamp post casts its shadow along the frozen Rideau Canal in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Just below the Vista House, off the Columbia River Gorge, you will find this serpentine road. The concrete fence, adorned with light posts and a rainy day, made for a pretty cool black and white photo opportunity.

14 pigeons perch atop a street light pole in the early morning hours. I shot this with my phone and took the raw image into my creative workflow for an interesting result.

Snow and more snow... We had gone to the northern part of Michigan's lower peninsula because there was a nearby 'dark park' where we'd hoped to see the Aurora Borealis. Alas, we had nothing but clouds and snow during our time there...

Digging out an old collection of India pictures I took several years ago during my first trip there. This was taken while waiting for my early morning train at the station at Udaipur.

Get it?.....instead of the yellow brick road, haha.

The building in the distance with the dome is the Via Rail Station and also where I work for Environment Canada. I'm lucky to have all the shops and restaurants at The Forks right outside the door, not to mention the Human Rights Museum and other cool areas to see. Great for lunch or a walk along the trails.

Below are a few places I took cell phone pics on a stroll a few weeks ago.
