20 minutes after the sunset this is what I saw,

Just below the Vista House, off the Columbia River Gorge, you will find this serpentine road. The concrete fence, adorned with light posts and a rainy day, made for a pretty cool black and white photo opportunity.

From the remains of the Glines Canyon Dam on the Elwha River

Glines Canyon Dam (also known as Upper Elwha Dam[2]), built in 1927, is a 210-foot (64 m) high concrete arch dam that forms Lake Mills 13 miles (21 km) upstream from the Elwha River's mouth.

The Elwha Ecosystem Restoration project began removal of the dam in September 2011, an effort expected to continue over a period of 2.5 – 3 years. Once removed, the area that is currently under Lake Mills will be revegetated and its banks secured to prevent erosion and to speed up ecological restoration.

We walked to the arboretum on the Penn State University campus, and a very kind person alerted us to what she thought might be a Coopers Hawk. Turned out to be a juvenile Red-tailed hawk, and it posed for us from tree to lightpost to tree to ground to tree😄. Other shots to follow..

Shot at the end of a night of shooting the stars. I stopped at this dock to see what the sunrise would look like. I made no plan but was able to capture the angles of the dock, the light stands, and the sun.

Perched and overlooking the Sheboygan River on a summer afternoon.

Paseo Fernando Quiñones is located at one end of La Caleta beach and is formed by a long and narrow promenade over the sea. This narrow strip of land is actually called an isthmus because it has water on both sides. This bridge connects the mainland with the nearby Cádiz Lighthouse and the Castle of San Sebastián that is found at the end of it. This walkway has wonderful vistas along with stunning views of the sunset!
