The Mississippi River has decided to give Downtown Davenport, Iowa a big hug. The water you see is covering River Street no less
These extremely detailed props were on EVERY lightpost in the park. There were a freaking ton of them.
Shopping center lightpost. Since I'm not really supposed to be taking Milo to doggy places, my friend Mary and I circumambulated a shopping center today and caught up. I'm looking forward to him finishing his shots, so we can start hiking in less civilized places.
1. The principle of design that this photo investigates is asymmetry. It is a light post that is on one side of the photo.
2. The most successful part of the photo to me is the background of the sky behind the post.
Bucharest coat of arms on a lightpost in Strada Jean Monnet, Primăverii, Bucharest Sector 1, Romania. This sort of decoration on a lightpost is unusual in Bucharest, especially for a 20th-century neighborhood well outside the historic city. [Estimated location.]

It's my birthday.
Mom and Dad came to town and we had dinner at a Japanese restraunt Friday night. That was a bit of a big deal (chop sticks and raw fish) for them and I was proud. :)
Saturday I went to the Farmer's Market to look around and get some produce. It's also my cousin Easton's first birthday so I ran home for his party and to pick up my gift from Mom and Dad. I went out to dinner and drinks with friends afterwards (but was bright enough to not take the camera along).
I headed to my parents' house after the market for my cousin's first birthday party. I got there a little early and had lunch with mom in the park.
