This is a series of lightpole tags by Tony Bones/Soler/Goya along DeKalb in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. They've been up awhile, and I wanted to document them before they are lost.
I very seldom take shots with the camera deliberately tilted, but I snapped this out of the car window while sitting in the parking lot of a local department store. I rather like it, must be the diagonal lines!
Last week, on August 23,'07- Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood ( and the entire ChicagoLand area) suffered a huge loss of its tree population, from a Freak Wind/RainStorm- 70+ mph winds
With the ability to install in limited spaces and custom made to meet the needs of the project, Pole Base was the ideal solution for this tough site lighting project. Products shown: Light pole base in Round texture

Composition: The image has been taken to display the contrast of the shadowed light pole against the backdrop of clear brilliant sunshine.
This is a bit of the women's mural in downtown Helena. She seemed to be watching me take her picture, and was not too pleased that I interrupted her work! I especially enjoy the way she is looking around the lightpole at me.
On the northern fringe of Brussels Capital Region, the industrial estate at Haren-Buda and Machelen has seen better days. Some industries still flourish, but the overall decay is obvious.
This area should not be missed as an introduction to Brussels, the Capital of Europe
Standing from the base of a light along the river at Sandwich, Kent, i focused upwards to the light, and managed to capture this image. I kept my focal on the light itself pushing out the pole that the camera was resting on and also the trees in the background out of the depth of field range.
i tried to keep it as symetrical as possible, but i could not get it exact. I also managed to get some reflection of the surrounding trees in the glass covers.

“I was a fan of using precast light pole bases on these projects. They were priced competitively and installed quickly, which saved my team a lot of extra work considering how many bases were installed,” said Matt Bowlin of United Electric. Products shown: Light pole base in Round texture
New lightpoles are being installed up and down Halsted St. Actually, the entire street/sidewalk area between 31st and 36th St. is being torn up and the vacant lot across the street should soon be turning into condos. It just looked funny to see them lying sideways. Also, the sky looks cool.
