Prior to the shoot I think we’d talked once I’d never seen the collection and had no idea what I was shooting and went out on a whim hoping the location was well, more than suitable and turns out it was more than adequate, so here are the shots from Erica Stagg’s 2009/2010 summer capsule range…
I know I say this all the time for a lot of the shoots I work on but Erica’s range is nothing far from amazing, the concept behind each piece is clear in plain sight and well executed, with each piece really speaking for itself, and Anna our model despite coming straight from a viewing and been dead tired pulled of every shot and let both herself and the garments equally as powerful frame after frame, and let’s just say wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty…
Big thanks to Erica for letting my concept to come through in the shots and having it been a little bit more collaborative than usual and letting me try some new techniques, regardless of how the shots looked these were shot in full daylight in the middle of the day and mid afternoon using a kind of light masking technique I’m trying much like they use in the twilight movies only a little different and my own creation…
Big thanks to all the girls for putting up with me as usual I know it’s a hard task and they did without complaint, so here are the shots enjoy…

Recently got to do a photo shoot with an old friend Joel’s band The Haunts, a little favour for the girls over at The Black Market Empire here are the final shots from the shoot…
I know maybe not as much or even close to my usual style of music and shoot but you should go check out The Haunts here, they just got out of the studio and are slowly releasing singles, you can also check out their label The Black Market Empire here, they’ll be releasing all their stuff through these guys from here on in…
As you gain experience with lighting you'll find that having a variety of different types and styles of lighting heads and gadgets in your arsenal is the key to getting the shot to look exceptional.
The light fixture on the left is the Eos DFP-4000 which delivers a smooth even shadowless light source especially well suited for standing full body shots and large objects like furniture or automobiles.
The light fixture on the right is the Eos DFP-1000. The 4-Way Adjustable Barndoors deliver superior lighting control. Each Flaps reflector is removable so you can use either the highly reflective peened reflectors that come installed right out of the box or flat-black, whichever best suits your needs to get the shot just right.
The Overhead light used in the photo is the DF EZ LITE 400

Well, we've had the hour change and it's certainly getting dark early.

This lighting kit for the modular Police Station came from a specialist firm in Estonia! Fitting it was...not fun. Very fiddly, quite difficult in truth. The results, however, are magical. :)

Following on from yesterday, here's that lighting kit in action.
The good news is that the kit is custom designed so that the bricks are correct and the wire lengths are correct.
The less good news is that there's no instructions with the lighting kit so you're on your own!
The best news is that it looks awesome! :D
