I always like how windows can look so differently in so many different situations! Is the view better looking in...or is the view better looking out?

Thank you so much for your support! All comments, Faves, invites, awards and notes are so appreciated!

Amazing acrobatic performance and stage lighting at a theatre show in Beijing, China.

It makes for some interesting photo effects (see the feathering of the light around the lamps and the light as it falls on the bus speeding past me), however the haze is really irritating - watering eyes, irritated throats, and it falls like a blanket on the island, leaving the air feeling hot and stuffy, even outside.

The Seattle Aquarium is a public aquarium opened in 1977 and located on Pier 59 on the Elliott Bay waterfront in Seattle, Washington, USA. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). The aquarium opened on May 20, 1977, and was initially owned and operated by the City of Seattle, Department of Parks and Recreation. On July 1, 2010, the nonprofit Seattle Aquarium Society, the official 501(c) nonprofit organization for the Seattle Aquarium, assumed management of the Seattle Aquarium from the city. Architects for the facility were Bassetti/Norton/Metler/Rekevics.

The aquarium promotes marine conservation and instructs over 800,000 visitors each year, including 50,000 students, to learn about their impacts on marine life. It also conducts research on marine life. In June 2013, an 18,000-square-foot (1,700 m2) expansion opened that includes a new 2,625-square-foot (243.9 m2) gift store and café, as well as two new exhibits: Window on Washington Waters and Crashing Waves.

Being a favorite of ours, the lily really stands out in our gardens.

We have several varieties from all over the world, this photo I decided to do in low-key monochrome for a more dramatic effect.

The rushing waters ripple amidst the riverstones and the flow willl become as a roaring sea when the rain lashes the valley. The strange light glowing in the early autumn and the stones of the riverbed cast a pale silver sheen on the water which is most beautiful to see.

Just playing around with some different settings and old photos to see what I can come up with.

The reindeer in this photo were at the Eaton Center in Toronto. I got this effect and kinda liked it.

The sky was looking very wintry over the last couple of days and the normal sunlight just didn't appear!!

-18C when I woke up - those are the mornings I put the fireplace on. Dual light effects here - a little light from the window shining on the rocking chair, and the glow from the fire.

Sky, mist and the open sea ... Thought I'd deviate from flowers for a change, and play with a new texture and part of another photograph lol!

A big thank you to everyone who stops by to comment. It's much appreciated. Hope to catch up when the day job cuts me some slack!
