Taken in the tunnel of Pechala Link, a connection between Mont'Kiara & Damansara

There's light at the end of the tunnel! It would seem our kawaii winking cloud/rainbow combo is still going strong at our local school. I'm not sure how inspiring it is but it's certainly better than a plain old shed. It's a little faded but I actually prefer it that way when it's bedded in a little. I wonder how the other bits we did are getting on...
Cheers

I had no idea yesterday's shot from the Illinois Railway Museum would be so popular. How about this shot from the other end of the building?
Today on the Out Of Chicago blog we have one of my favorite photographers, Brian Koprowski. Learn about how he creates his amazing Chicago cityscapes. outofchicago.com/interview-with-chicago-photographer-bria...
It was a gorgeous fall day for a walk in the forest. I decided to check on the progress of the mushroom duo I found the other day. One had been kicked over. As I was checking out the various chunks I noticed this old girl dancing as though no one was watching.
A bit of light HDR relief ..... a selective crop from a shot taken last week at Frodsham. The unit in question is 175107, 16th August 2012.

Let your soul guide you
He'll guide you well
When you're down and they're counting
When your secrets all found out
When your troubles take to mounting
When the map you have leads you to doubt
When there's no information
And the compass turns to nowhere that you know well
Let your soul be your pilot
Let your soul guide you
He'll guide you well ~ Sting
Cymmer Tunnel, on the Rhondda & Swansea Bay line from Briton Ferry to Treherbert was abandoned when trains were diverted onto the parallel Bridgend to Abergwynfi line on 13.6.1960, which was the date on which passenger services to Abergwynfi ceased.

Ryhdyfelin tunnel was built to provide water from the River Taff to power the local tin plate works, which are now long-closed. The tunnel itself is only around 150m long, with a slight S-shape and a profile like half a rugby ball and brickwork in excellent condition.
It's coming.
I'm not sure what the older, wiser me on the other end looks like yet...
But I'm pretty confident she's an alright kid.

This is a corridor in Linlithgow Palace, now a historic ruin but once the pleasure palace of the Stewart Kings of Scotland. Mary, Queen of Scots was born here in 1542.
This is my "straight out of the camera" photo for Week #8 of 52 in 2015. I haven't even cropped the photo - but rather wish I could add in the upper left corner of the doorway.

So, after two months of non-stop sore throat and infections, my doctor finally took things seriously. I told them back at the start of February that I had Strep A but was told to take pain killers and go away. Then in March I got Penicillin to treat tonsilitis, even though I said it was Strep A. Hoorah, today my doc told me it was Strep A and that they would give me antibionics to treat it, not pencillin (which is good because I had an allergic reaction to it last time). Fingers crossed that I'll start to feel better soon, because I am heartily sick (no pun intended) of being sick.
This shot is SOOC on the walk to my son's preschool this morning, I like the shadows of the branches and the sun's flare.

The wall is silence, the grass is sleep,
Tall trees of peace their vigil keep,
And the Fairy of Dreams with moth-wings furled
Plays soft on her flute to the drowsy world.

If God ever spoke to me, this is where he would do it. So far, the only revelation I've been a witness to was when a tramp threw up thew up the contents of his stomach. I'd like to think it was a message, but if it was, it was carrot-based.

Yes, it is true. My enchanted house has a portal.
A portal to the other side… it would seem. So, I guess, the stories you have heard about the “tunnel” might just be true, hmmm?
Though, you know, I didn’t think it was metal. Did you?
See, reality again. I like to leave mine at the door before entering.
For my Flickr groups…

When everything seems really dark and all you hear is bad news, don't give up. I took this today and as soon as I saw it on my screen, I thought about a time in my life when I didn't know where to turn. I look back now and realise that sometimes the hope we have can be very small but if we just hold on the exit we really need can suddenly open up out of places we least expect it. If you are in the dark keep looking for the light at the end of that tunnel...
Taken on my Nikon D700, handheld it is actually looking directly up a chimney in a 200 year old house as the smoke from a turf fire escapes into the light.
