It is always a treat to witness the first rays of the morning sun kiss the mountain peaks at Glacier National Park.
This is a close-up photo of sunlight and shadow on a blade of kelp that washed up on Pembroke Beach.
in the narrow alleys of palma, where light and shadow dance, a solitary figure stands, merging with the urban fabric. the city whispers its secrets through shadows cast by ancient lamps, blending the past with the present in a silent conversation.
There can be no photography without light so here is one with the very minimal light :)
It has been a thrilling journey since I got my camera. I learnt a few things along the way. If you were to ask me about it and If I had to say it standing on one leg then this might be it:
A picture is one too many,
A picture is one too less.
Styles are charming but
Subject over style.
Professionals carve a niche,
As amateurs, why do we care.
Rules are important but,
Rules be damned.
Photograph is important but,
Not as important as why you took it.
Photograph is about the subject but
It is more about you.
Photography can be realistic, but
It could as easily fall in the realm of fantasy.

Quelle: Wikipedia
The Looking Close on Friday theme is flora and fauna in a vertical format. Being horticulturally challenged (read: non-green thumb), I had to go into my archives!!

Light and shadows on buttress roots deep in the lowland forest, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. A ray of light pentrating the forest canopy cast shadows from the surrounding vegetation on the large buttress roots of a Kaway tree. Sepia tone conversion, to emphasize the shapes.

as i walked through the quiet, fluorescent glow of the airport on the way to my gate, i couldn’t help but feel like i was suspended in a moment between here and there. the world around me blurred, yet the sense of moving forward remained clear. sometimes, that’s all we can do—keep walking, trusting the path ahead.
