Light Painting

The windows in this abandoned building look pretty good from the outside. Inside, there is plenty of dust and old Christmas bulbs are scattered around the room. The white curtains are quite a contrast to their dusty shadows.

I can't even express what makes this picture dear and special to me... (For me) It just has a certain atmosphere that creates a feeling of peace and psychedelic relief in me...

Early morning light illuminates a small Birch tree on local heathland a few days ago.

Well, I wanted to see if I could capture some decent ones. Nothing too exciting...but I like the colors =)))

Every moment of light and dark is a miracle.

I was visiting a building during renovation works and I was delighted to see one of the rooms being painted with bold colours. Then light started playing one of its tricks and I could not resist and made my photograph.

A tiny light on the giant ocean warns of hazardous rocks.

This was seen off the coast of Port Hardy on the northern shore of Vancouver Island.

This was my first Image

Landmannalaugar (Icelandic, meaning the people's pools) is a region near the volcano Hekla in southern section of Iceland's highlands. Historically, it has been the only "safe place" in Iceland for exiled outlaw people, like the famous outlaw Fjalla-Eyvindur.

The area displays a number of unusual geological elements, like the multicoloured rhyolite mountains and expansive lava fields, as well as hot springs, crater lakes and steam fumaroles. The many mountains in the surrounding area display a wide spectrum of colors including pink, brown, green, yellow, blue, purple, black, and white.

It was very cloudy, so you only can wait until some sunlight appears....

With a couple of weeks of freezing fog and light snow, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Fairbanks.

There is the old photography adage of the "golden hour", the hour after sunrise and before sunset to get golden light. This time of year in Fairbanks, it lasts a bit longer as these photos were taken at noon. But then again, this time of year, noon is only 1.5 hours from either sunrise or sunset!

Harbour light

This was taken a few minutes after yesterday’s photo, but the light had changed remarkably.

From blue sky to grey clouds. And, I like it!
