An idea for stabilizing a ladder to use as a 40' pushup mast base. See previous photo for full ladder mast base concept. Holes in the bar and ladder rungs are for vertical leveling of the mast.

Chicago: a city at street level.

Inspired by the work of Daido Moriyama (not necessarily the subject matter, but the high contrast visuals in city life)

As I've mentioned before, Chicago is a great city to live in (so long as you are ok with the weather). It's a very fast moving yet livable city. It's also a lot of fun to photograph as there's always something going on. And ofcourse, there's the city: the rush of everyday life; the streets, the people.

This is a panel with random street shots... all three are around the loop. I think I have Michigan Avenue, Washington/Dearborn and State/Lake (from left to right). Or atleast those are my best guesses, feel free to correct me if you know better :)

Better like so!

A Harris Hawk enjoys free flight during a HawkQuest members only field event.

This event featured volunteers carrying 6 Harris Hawks through the brush of Bear Creek Lake Park looking for prey. When we located one, the hawks would then pursue the prey as a team. It was an awesome event that we were lucky to be able to see. These images were taken in Bear Creek Lake Park in Lakewood, Colorado.

The chase was a bit too fast for me to capture on camera, but at least I got some decent shots of level flight.

Passed this hundreds of times before noticing it wasn't just a fence. On the very disused Warrington and Altrincham Junction Railway (I think) where it crosses the A6144 in Carrington.

Rolleston level crossing on Station Road at the west end of Rolleston railway station. Friday 7th April 1989

The level crossing gates were released by Rolleston Junction signal box 34 lever until 2nd October 1966 when Rolleston Junction signal box closed. The level crossing was converted to a manned level crossing (full barriers) normally automatically operated with obstacle detection crossing controlled from the Netherfield workstation in the East Midlands Control Centre from 24th October 2016

Ref no 09996

so, original image had very poor exposure which led me to unabashedly play with the levels.
