The emphasis on the toxic jungle made me think that Avatar was inspired in part by Miyazaki's Nausicaa.

Since the University opened at the Quadrangle in 1845, the campus has been constantly evolving to accommodate ever-increasing numbers of students. Today, the main campus has over 90 buildings on 105 hectares of land situated on the banks of the River Corrib.
The National University of Ireland Galway is located in Ireland's most westerly city of Galway. A tertiary-level teaching and research institution, it is ranked among the top 1% of universities in the world.The University is ranked #249 in the 2017 QS World University Rankings and has been also been awarded the full five QS stars for excellence.
Since 2010 my annual visits to Galway have not been successful because of the weather. Last year [2017] I visited in early September and it rained for the duration of my visit. This year I visited in June and much to my surprise the weather was even worse than previous years [everyone kept telling me that I just missed three weeks of the best weather ever or that if I had waited until next the weather would be perfect].

The Dead Sea (Arabic: البحر الميت al-Baḥr al-Mayyit; Hebrew: יָם הַמֶּלַח, Yām HaMélaḥ, "Sea of Salt", also Hebrew: יָם הַמָּוֶת, Yām HaMā́weṯ, "The Sea of Death"), also called the Salt Sea, is a salt lake bordering Jordan to the east and Israel and Palestine to the west. Its surface and shores are 423 metres (1,388 ft) below sea level,[3] Earth's lowest elevation on land. The Dead Sea is 377 m (1,237 ft) deep, the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. With 33.7% salinity, it is also one of the world's saltiest bodies of water, though Lake Assal (Djibouti), Garabogazköl and some hypersaline lakes of the McMurdo Dry Valleys in Antarctica (such as Don Juan Pond) have reported higher salinities. It is 9.6 times as salty as the ocean. This salinity makes for a harsh environment in which animals cannot flourish, hence its name. The Dead Sea is 55 kilometres (34 mi) long and 18 kilometres (11 mi) wide at its widest point. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River.
The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David. It was one of the world's first health resorts (for Herod the Great), and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers. People also use the salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea to create cosmetics and herbal sachets. In 2009, 1.2 million foreign tourists visited on the Israeli side.
The Dead Sea seawater has a density of 1.240 kg/L, which makes swimming similar to floating.

Camera/Editing: I set my aperture at 1.8 so the main focus would be on her face, When editing I brought down highlights so you could see more of her face and it was not so washed out.
Why do I like it: I feel it is one of the best portraits I've taken in an inside setting.
