REFLECTING HOLONS - Level -3, Crossrail, Place
MICHIEL MARTENS & JETSKE VISSER, Netherlands
Experimenting with the ephemeral magic of light and movement, Jetske Visser and Michiel Martens call the mesmerising objects they stumbled upon by experimenting with reflecting materials HOLONS. Long strips of oil like transparent foil combined with simple spinning motors become a visual entity reflecting the lights around them as if they were water-drops.

The lower level of the coach class car contains the entryway as well as four lavatories. There's also a large rack for carry on baggage and a large empty space for more cargo. Not much to say here, except that the cargo space soon became a mini campground for a group of girl scouts who spread their sleeping bags there and spent the evening hours telling ghost stories.

This collaborative international exchange program engages underserved communities in six countries around the world and uses artistic collaboration and social engagement to enhance people-to-people diplomacy, especially among young audiences. Using multi-disciplinary hip hop collaborations, this unique arts-based exchange explores and addresses conflict resolution strategies by sending up to 20 American beat makers, DJs, B-Boys/B-Girls (or experts of other types of hip hop dance), or MCs in teams of 5 artists to lead four- to six-week exchange programs in various countries. Overseas programming will include but is not limited to: workshops, master classes, community performances, and outreach activities.
On the website of GWL Realty Advisors, the property managers describe the downtown Toronto building, known as 33 Yonge Street, in the following way:
"Suffused with light from its solid walls of windows and its soaring, full height 13 storey atrium, 33 Yonge undoubtedly offers the most appealing working environment in Toronto – in addition to the most appealing location. This appeal is heightened by the flexibility of the 20,000 and 50,000 sq. ft. floorplates - providing tenants with the choice of open concept, partitioned and mixed used layouts with maximum efficiency. Exterior offices have superb views overlooking the St. Lawrence Market District to the east and King and Bay to the west, while interior offices are endowed with natural light from the skylit atrium. All this in a Class A building with all the conveniences you could hope for – from staffed and secure underground parking to a high speed telecommunications infrastructure."

High above the street a scaffolder carefully checks his level to ensure the scaffolding is safe on one of Cambridge's beautiful buildings.
I saw the hedgehog in the backyard and ran out with my camera and lay down on the grass to get this shot at hedgehog level. He was on the move pretty quickly (well, as fast as a hedgehog can run, which is surprising fast) so it's a bit blurry. Ah, the things we do for photos.

I love getting mail from the RCM especially when I complete a course. I've finished 2 of 8 courses in the Early Childhood Music Education Program.... By the end of the summer I'll be half way finished!
I can't wait for my advanced certificate. :D

This is the old Jordanian sea level mark on the way east from J-lem. The road changed completely. I recall when we were young we'd go through El-'Azariya to the dead sea. Now there's the wall. We went from road 6 east via the vomit inducing road 443 & road 1. after the green line all the fences, walls, blocked roads. Disgusting. At one point the - near J-lem the road was going down allowing a wall panorama. At the same time John Denver started on the CD- 'Almost heaven, West Virginia..' - and I laughed. He's a lucky guy. I'd describe my country as almost hell.
This was the 1st spot I wanted that we take our photo. I recall a Bedouin with a camel for the tourists. There was none, but I smelt camel dung.
