Just beyond the sunset

Someone waits for me

Just beyond the sunset

Lies my destiny

Where the purple mountains

Lie in deep tranquillity

There I’ll find the treasure

Of love eternally

Just beyond the sunset

Waits someone so fair

Just beyond the sunset

All alone they wait there

Their hair is golden

The colour of the sand

Their eyes sparkle in the night

Like diamonds in your hand

Just beyond the sunset

Lies a home for me

Where the world is peaceful

Like a paradise should be

Just beyond the sunset

Someday is where you’ll find me

Curiously the Metro Replacements were still running despite the completion of the major overhead line renewal work the previous day.

Hey you! You didn't know that you can now follow my street work at my secondary Tumblr blog www.tumblr.com/blog/smilefromthestreetsyoushoot, did ya? Amazing, isn't it.

Ok, you go now, enjoy it, why not? Of course you will. I know, you know it.

The Sacandaga River flows into Great Sacandaga Lake - actually a reservoir. The water levels rise and fall during the year. The day we paddled, the water was amazingly high - we were able to paddle the canoe among trees! Not something I get to do every day!

Making a low level, crowd pleasing pass.

I posted this as a follow up to the recent flooding. This is the Mississagi River, just past the dam. You can see the line where the water was. I have placed boxes to show these levels.

Imagine the water filling up the front of the shot to be level with where the dirt meets the leaves on the floor of the woods. You would only see water below that line. I'm guessing that is six to ten feet.
