Five-year-olds from the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Child Development Center play hopscotch during the exercising portion of a Defense Commissary Agency’s health and wellness event at the post commissary Nov. 10, 2010. The event was in direct support of first lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign, an initiative to combat childhood obesity. DeCA Dietitian Karen Hawkins showed the 5-year-olds how to make “fruit kabobs,” while the post’s Clinic Radar Clinic Dietitian and Nutritionist Beth Trainer gave lessons on how to make kid-sized “veggie wraps,” while commissary employees and volunteers from the CDC and Morale Welfare and Recreation treated the children to a morning of fun-filled exercises.
