The only winner was our unique democratic process.
Let us now begin to listen to each other. We don't agree on everything but one thing I believe - we are ALL Americans. Nov. 2020.
Unedited shot of the snow last week in Amsterdam. Taken with my Sony HX1. No editing :)
The best city in the world is still covered in snow, but that's just all the stuff that came down last week...I took this shot early in the morning last Friday, it kept going on like that all day and caused a major traffic drama all over the country and the rest of Europe. Still, society just goes on with life and everybody tries their best to cope with the situation, either by largely ignoring that it's very dangerous out there or by being over-careful, I am tending to try something different each day, to keep thing interesting :)
Almost weekend, almost Christmas, I hope we'll get a white one :)

A glass of wine sounds good after two days of digging up and fixing a water main... To bad this is the cheapest red wine Trader Joes had. What can I say, it was a cheap prop.

This is the valet parking area at the Paris Las Vegas Resort. I really loved that curved awning surrounding the sidewalk. It's so cool that the Paris theme of this resort extends even out to the parking area! Next time I visit Las Vegas, this is the hotel where I'd like to stay!

With my new lens in-hand, my main focus for this event was to improve on shots I've done before or go for shots I could not get.
Definitely not the race to try this out considering the air temperature was pushing 100 degrees and I have those gigantic fences in most of the views I was going for. Fortunately, I was able to get some usable shots.

I will be leaving this afternoon and traveling for the next few days. We're off on the road to . . . well, I don't know where we're going. This is so against my nature. Remember I am the one who plans trips down to the minute. I'm letting my son come up with the plan (or, as he calls it, the unplan). He said he has a surprise for me, which scares me a little. Daddy is going with us. Yes, at age 87, he still loves to travel. We are three kindred spirits.
I have a feeling we will be on the road until late each day so I probably won't have time to post and I'm sure I won't be able to comment. Please bear with me until I return.

Going back through some raw photos I never found time to edit after my trip to Hawaii last year. This is a landscape shot from the Hawaii big island.
