In the gardens of St Luke’s bombed out church in Liverpool. This remembers the occasion when British and German soldiers ceased hostilities on Christmas Day in WW1. They played a game of football, then next day they were back to shooting at one another from the trenches…The absurdity of war. I don’t know who won the game, I wonder if it went to a penalty shoot out? In which case the Germans obviously won!
