Today, we travel to Disney's Hollywood Studios for my favorite attraction during the Christmas holidays, The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights! The feeling you get while walking down the brightly colored streets is like no other. From the hot chocolate to the falling snow, this is truly a magical experience and everything is set to music. Of course, you also have those hidden Mickey's, so let's play a little game today. Who can find the hidden Mickey? Have a great day!
20th August is St. Stephen’s Day in Hungary and it is a public holiday. We celebrate the foundation of the Hungarian state 1000 years ago.
If you never tried to shoot with dlsr a firework, it looks very easy. Last year i made a lot of unusable picture from another firework.
This time i spent a day before the firework to learn how is it working.
I used this:
- tripod (of course)
- remote control (the exposure time was 2-6 second, i push the bottom when the lights started until end, but not more than 6 second, because the burn out)
- bulb exposure time
- manual focus to infinity
- camera to manual mode
- 13 aperture (the best is between 11-16)
- iso on the minimum
- raw
- WB to lightning, and in LR you have to change it to auto... that's why a lot of firework picture so yellow, the white balance is incorrect, that's why you have to use raw files..
And the thing what I don't find on the intrenet, very very important to use a card with high level writing speed. After exposure it was really bad to wait 5-10 second to shoot an other picture.
I was in the Halászbástya Restaurant for free...:) I asked them on phone to let me make a few shoot from the terrace...:) nobody else got this idea:) there was a huge crowd on public places:)
I went for a walk a few days ago along part of the old railway bed. The track came out of use in the late 1950s and was removed. (Pity because it would now cost way too much to restore it!). Its a lovely walk and needless to say I took a few photos. This one of an access bridge I found when I came to sort them out had a marked green cast so I thought I'd have a play in Topaz adjust, a couple of presets and a bit of sliding
later this is the result so I thought it would do fine for Sliders Sunday.

So. Story time. This car is really old. Like...a 1963 or something. And we're kinda working on it/letting it rot in our yard. The insides are all torn up. What Colette didn't realize? There are no handles on the inside of this vehicle. So. I hit the self timer, ran in, shut the door, *click*, goes to open door again, SHIT. Luckily I had my phone in my pocket. I ALMOST left it in the house. So I had to call three of my friends before one finally answered and she had to come rescue me.
So that's the thrilling story behind this photo.

2022 wasn't the best year in most respects.
From the POV of this hobby, however, it was amazing! So many great memories, places I visited, people I got to know, and pictures I snapped!
Thanks to the recent few days' upload rush, I could also compile my top 25 favourite images, which you can check out here, or here. It wasn't an easy task to narrow it down to these 25 images, and if you asked me tomorrow, I'd perhaps choose 25 different ones.
Thank you all for your perennial attention, and let's see what this new year has in store!

I dropped by the Frozen sing-along yesterday. It was time to start exploring the Frozen themed performances that displaced the Mad-T Party. The line for the musical group in Stage 17 was an hour long so I skipped that for now.
