Hands Off! Protest in Vero Beach, Florida on April 5, 2025. A large crowd of over 2000 showed up to protest Trump and Elon Musk policies and the havoc caused by DOGE. This was one of 1200 locations where people raised their voices across the nation with more than 5 million participating. Resist!

I've been wanting recreate this shot from Pan's Labyrinth for a very long time now. Ghostbones did an awesome version, but he's not on Flickr anymore (which makes me really sad). Amanda has also put her spin on it. Mine isn't exactly what I was going for, but I don't have much time nowadays.
I've been tagged by =Tom=, so here are 16 random things about me. I guess it's only fitting, it being my 200th day and all.
1. My favorite movie(s) of all time is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Every time I watch them - which is more often than I want to admit - I see something new.
2. I love thunderstorms, especially with lots of lightning.
3. My mutant power (everyone has one) is my ability to remember song lyrics after hearing them once.
4. I quote movies all the time, and judge whether I want to get to know someone by whether or not they get the reference. :)
5. I'm not a very friendly person, which is why I'm so amazed at the bonds I've formed on flickr. My husband calls me the "surly stranger." I don't talk to people on trains/planes and will fake sleep to avoid it.
6. (related to 5) My husband is the PR person of our relationship. He talks to everyone.
7. I think because I don't ask people a lot of personal questions, they volunteer it. TMI!
8. I have a preoccupation with my bowels. TMI?
9. My first day of med school, one of my fellow students insinuated I got in because of affirmative action. It still bothers me to this day and I hate that I haven't gotten over it.
10. I could eat my Dad's curry crab and dumplings every day of the week.
11. I went skiing in Barie, Canada several years ago, and I never want to be that cold again.
12. I think every object has feelings. I rotate my pen usage so they don't feel neglected.
13. I used to be a a great cook, but I rarely do anymore. Maybe once a week (or two) to remind myself of how to use the stove.
14. I once helped my cousin flatten (not slash - just let the air out) a cheating guy's tires. All four of them. I don't regret it.
15. The number one goal in my life is to make my husband's miserable. He knows.
16. I love =Tom=, even if he made me do this ridiculous exercise. :)

I will stop announcing the “last series of photos taken with the Fuji X–Pro 2”, as I keep discovering further ones. This selection is from a trip to Bruges in May 2018, which in fact was the next leg to the trip to Verdun and the World War I battlefields, which I uploaded photos over the past few days.

These colorful umbrellas forming a geometric pattern were up in the air. I was lucky for great clouds in the desert area when we mostly just have a plain sky.
I took this shot on a day out with best friend Joel while on a visit on WWWT Martin Mere. We spotted this drake Redhead which is part of there Waterfowl Collection, we both liked this bird in particular as it does look like it's had a bit to much to drink. Just to let you know I've never been drunk and will never get drunk! though I have a bit Cider every few weeks.
