Year after year, the bloom of the horse chestnut delights me - it seems way too exotic to be common in our northern clime and yet it is, gracing many city streets, avenues and parks.
This is one of the massive ornate entry doors to the Pantheon, which was conceived as a magnificent 1790 church, but later desecularized and made a civic building. Many famous or "great" historical persons are interred in the crypt of the Pantheon, including: Madame and Pierre Curie, Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, and Alexandre Dumas, among many others.
The facade and dome of this Latin Quarter building, inspired by the Roman Pantheon, were in restoration and were completely covered during our visit.
Minifig first did this cover a couple of years ago. But, alas, I am a sad completest and just had to have a go myself! It was Minifig's wonderful version that got me thinking about doing Abbey Road (and then the rest!) and so this one's dedicated to him.
Unfortunately not here....we only have rain the last two days...
I hope to have time tomorrow for a Christmas shot with all four Blythe girls together...

Last year similar flowers bloomed still in November, so I'm hoping this autumn is going to be as warm as it
