Shot of a Rockette on the ledge 6 floors up at NYU Stern. What was amazing is she held this pose through about 2 minutes of shots with almost no movement.

Cascade over ledges below Murray Reynolds, Ricketts Glen State Park, PA.
Because there are so many waterfalls on the RGSP trail, i often overlooked the photo opps from the many cascades and minor drops along the way - but this stretch caught my eye as i hiked from the southern trailhead to Watersmeet.
Have a seat and enjoy the view,
This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and Super-Takumar/6X7 1:2.4/105mm lens with a Zenza Bronica 67mm SL39â¢3C(UV) filter using Kodak Portra 400 [220] film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
Thought I'd share something less colorful than my recent posts.
I took this photo a year or so ago after a doctor's visit in Grand Ledge.

There is something about standing on a ledge with no rails to make you realize just how small you really are. I can still remember the experience of planting my tripod legs out as far as I was willing to go so that I didn't have an obstructed view of the entire valley. I was very careful when panning my tripod for different exposures so that I could get an ultra wide shot like this one. I can also remember taking a deep breath when I stepped away from the ledge as if I had been holding it for the entire time.

It seems a long time since I put up a coastal shot so I thought I'd rectify that today. I guess it is partly because so much of the coast path is closed due to erosion so I have been walking inland more - which is a good thing because although Dorset is famed for its coast, it is so much more than that in my opinion :)!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Spectators on the ledge at the edge of the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone. The roar of the falls is thrilling, as is the abrupt dropoff of 308' (94 meters).
Glad that rail is there, and that it's sturdy....
The ledges at Durlston country park. I just knew i should've sat there a few days ago when it was really stormy.
This morning we ventured carefully out to the ledges at Lulworth Cove. The rocky landscape there is simply stunning and a place that I remember just how lucky I am to live close by on every visit. Here's a view out to sea just as the sun was about to rise across the cove.
After driving through some mist on the way, I'm not sure we made the right decision and maybe Corfe should have been the location of choice but its one for another day.... for now I just took in the relaxation of low tide and calm seas whilst watching the sun rise. What a way to start the day!
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
The weather is bad again today in the UK so sadly not been out with the camera so I have posted another sunset image taken at Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset last weekend.
The famous hard rock ledges highlighted by the setting sun in the foreground with Clavell Tower on the cliff in background completes the composition.
