Our learning videos cover vocabulary, phrases and patterns perfect for the ESL and EFL classroom.
Many of our videos work well with special needs children, especially those with Autistic Disorder, Speech and Language Impairments and Speech, Reading and Learning Disabilities. We often receive emails from parents thanking us for helping their child learn to speak or read and each time it makes our day!

With this photo, I learned that having your camera set at 1/30th of a second and f-3.5 with 100iso film is not sufficient for photographing a brown person under florescent lights behind the magazine and candy counter at the RW stop at 8th and Broadway despite all the wrangling you can do with Photoshop.
Otherwise, I might have had a halfway decent shot.
Maybe I'll get him the next time.

With eyes refocusing on the Los Angeles underground hip-hop scene, Open Mike Eagle is poised to become the latest in an illustrious line of MCs to step out of the Los Angeles underground and onto the national stage. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Open Mike cut his teeth rapping with fellow broad shoulder underground MCs before moving to Los Angeles in 2004. He has since settled in with LA's Project Blowed, co-founding the crews Thirsty Fish and the Swim Team, while earning a rep as both an intelligent rhyme writer and a formidable battle MC.
Open Mike Eagle opened for Busdriver (Regan Farquhar) during on June 3, 2010 Countdown to Culver! event. Busdriver is a leading figure in the resurgence of the alternative Hip Hop scene that emphasizes the experimentation of form and radical hybridization of styles.

Downtown Branch kicked off the Make.Play.Read.Learn program with tons of fun activities for all ages. We played video games, made Dr. Who-inspired masks and paper robots, tried science experiments, and visited with animals from the Chattanooga Zoo. We even read stories to Jag the Reading Dog. He's a great listener!
We celebrated our 3rd Birthday in style with musical jelly (learn more about musical jelly from Raphaël Pluvinage here: vimeo.com/38796545) and microwave rainbow cake made by pastry chef Terri of Fraise Sauvage. Every birthday party needs candles, and we had the most spectacular candle ever! Chemistry student Anna Ploszajski demonstrated her homemade Rubens' Tube. In our Materials Library we heard about the science of chocolate and we tested if visitors were a super-taster!
Inspired by London Underground signs, artist Helen Carnac introduced visitors to the process of enamelling, with a chance to make an enamelled piece of copper.
This station was sponsored by and in collaboration with Art on the Underground’s, Underline programme which is a series of art and music commissions to celebrate the Victoria line.
We also launched a very exciting Cutlery Competition in collaboration with The Worshipful Guild of Cutlers to design and make a new eating tool/utensil.
