Photos taken for work of an event at Lovejoy Elementary School where students received their new eyeglasses. Vision to Learn is a group working with with the school district and other community partners to provide eye exams and, if needed, glasses for students. They are piloting their work at five elementary schools in Des Moines.
4-H youth in the horse animal science project learn how to take care of, groom and show horses. All exhibitors are expected to care for their horses (feed, water and manure disposal) and cooperate in keeping stalls and alleys clean, neat and attractive. 4-H clubs are automatically judged for Herdsmanship ribbons.
