We had our first drizzles of fall today.
Bitter: It's sad to see summer become a memory with fall well on its way.
Sweet: I can't wait for the leaves to start turning red and orange and yellow.
Macro photo of the bottom side of basil leaf shot against the light. The ratio is 1.5:1. I used 65mm of extension tubes for this photo.

I don't always do this but this one really is better large and on black
WIT: I broke out the SB600 for this one and set it up a few feet behind the leaf. I held the leaf so it was blocking the flash from the camera and shot. It is cool how bright it looks, almost seeming like the flash was in front of the leaf rather than behind. Then in Lightroom 2 cropped and used the High Contrast B&W preset.
