Goodybye Fall- Hello Winter... a reminder of the wonderful fall colours--not as crisp as I would like- I thought I liked snow and I am sure getting some practise taking pictures of it but they all stink!!! Practise practise... and more practise ---Maple Leaf Madness Nov 21 2008e IMG_7938

I said i was gonna have some colour next time, so here it is! A little faded for 'dramatic' effect, but otherwise green!

I found this leaf in the car park at Waitrose. Don't ask me why it was special amongst all the other leaves, but it was. I thought it very beautiful. I brought it home and took its photo and now I feel inspired to photograph lots of other leaves. Just like this - on a plain white background, to show off the leaf.

A leaf spotted on the ground today, this leaf is from a sycamore tree I believe.

Found an excellent article on shooting ice today in our new library (photos to come:) Check out the latest Popular Photography magazine. I was pleased to see I had done several of the techniques they suggested, although I didn't need a polarizing filter - no clear ice...

I took this at First Landing State Park on my boyfriends cam.

This was at one of the most interesting and characteristic environment of Bogotá, the humedal. Here, native people call them "nature mirrors".

 

Pathogen: Passalora bougainvillea

This Green Lynx spider was basking on this milkweed leaf in luke warm sun rays of dawn.

 

The best part I like in this picture is that one can count all 8 eyes of this jumping spider!
