This is the best I've made so far for putting a 2x16 LCD, switch button and OneWire digital thermometer all on the same 170 hole breadboard.
to have the background darker, I settled with a 8k resistor soldered between LED+ wire, pin 15 on the lcd

It's 4 guys and one girl. Odd. I didn't visualize any of this in my head when rocking out to their album, but there they are.
I messed up the LCD on a beloved piece of electronics. Everything is fine except for the LCD. Anyone has a clue if the LCD only can be replaced? If so, what is this called, and is it easy to get one? The back of the screen says "00-0280". Any hints greatly appreciated!
