Haggetts Pond is the reservoir for the town of Andover, Massachusetts, United States. It is located in the western part of the town and also lends its name to a road. The Merrimack River is connected to the pond to add volume to the reservoir.
It is bordered by Route 133 on the south. Not far to the northwest is Interstate 495; to the northeast is Interstate 93.

This night photo of a separated tail of an old aircraft abandoned in a lonely corner of the Southwest United States. Brandishing a flashlight capable of producing different colors, I illuminated the scene while the tripod-mounted camera shutter was open for this long exposure photo. High clouds moved in as I was photographing this, and the nighttime winds made the airplane occasionally creak loudly, sometimes startling me. Please feel free to share.

Something Special In The Air (9190)
The back of a bullet-riddled B-52 aircraft, a Cold War relic all blown up and left to rot in the Mojave Desert for decades. Using a ProtoMachines LED2 flashlight capable of producing different colors, I illuminated the plane from several angles while the tripod-mounted camera shutter was open for this long exposure photo. The streaks in the night sky are star trails created by the movement of the stars during the long exposure photo, accompanied by some beautiful high clouds this cold moonlit winter evening.

I went out yesterday evening hoping for a good sunset and was treated to a mixed bag. I really liked the texture in the clouds and the way the setting sun lit up the lower horizon along with the water was pretty incredible. All in all, a wonderful place to spend an evening.

A Coat Of Little Paint Will Make A Car and Cabin What It Ain't (9286)
An old rusty Ford Model T and an 1800s miner's cabin, photographed while hanging out with the two brothers who own Golden Cactus in Pearsonville, CA for several hours. Super nice people. And I did something rather silly. I had just purchased a used Nikon D750, and was excited to use it. However, I had put the fisheye lens on the other camera and was really into the fisheye for some reason that night, and never touched the new camera. Oh well!

While at a recent photography workshop, a friend of mine and I wandered off of the beaten path a bit. She was shooting flowers and we came upon this nice little four to five foot tall waterfall and cascade. Love finding little out of the way spots.

During an early March weekend, I got together with friends Tim Little, Steve McIntyre, and George Loo, and met a new person named Ash. Some of the nicest people I've met are night photographers, and these guys are no exception. They all understand and love the meditative, very deliberate process of creating night photos while lighting during the exposure and the active creativity that this entails.

I lit the scene with a ProtoMachines LED2 flashlight, walking around while illuminating the car from various angles while the tripod-mounted camera shutter was open for this long exposure night photo. This approach to night photography was largely pioneered by Troy Paiva.
