Ein seltsamer Tag, eine seltsame Woche ... :( Manche meinen ja, ich spüre den Schnee - ich wünschte er wäre dafür verantwortlich.

A lunar landscape from Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico.

This is not a composite image, the larger size of the moon is due to using a long telephoto to create a stronger layering effect and to emphasize the warm sun on the foreground slope.

Subarnarekha River & Bay of Bengal - Digha, India

The onion layers of light around the shores of Maui.

Layers is a photograph taken at McConnells Mill State Park in Western Pennsylvania. This illuminated mass of wet and matted leaves caught my attention while walking through the otherwise dark and misty trail.

i'm at a loss of creativity these days.

anyway, layering of sx-70 blend film (bottom) and a time zero mis-shot.

With a definition of multi layers up, someone did this to proof how many #zentai they can pile up!

Early morning in the Ogwen valley, waiting for sunrise. The real view is actually in the other direction along to Llynnau Mymbyr but one of my fellow togs kindly pointed out the lone tree, and we all know you can't beat alone tree with a sharp stick.(That probably counts as self harm!)

So the music for this evening has absolutely nothing to do with this image but it's worth a listen.

Layering effect using one photo, 2 map layers and a grunge/textured border.

The Layers within and Angle of the cliff here really caught my eye.

West side of South Ronaldsay looking out into the Pentland Firth with the island of Swona just left of centre, island of Hoy just to the right. The Flood tide running from right to left.

Some layer action from Hunstanton on the North Norfolk Coast UK. I don't usually visit here a high tide as it covers all the fantastic smooth rock pavements but as i was in the area and a there was higher tide than normal i decided to grab this shot of the cliff faces and their beautiful colours.

So, this may not look like much to you but for me it means a lot. I am experimenting now with layers and taking multiple of the same pics and layering on top of each other.... Hopefully I can get the layers right so at the end it will look better.

I used these two, really good, youtube videos to help me through this learning experience.

Hawaiian tank dress

You may not think a dress with an obnoxious Hawaiian print could be worn as a slip, but you’d be wrong. It’s all possible in my crazy pattern-mixing world.

Wrap dresses can be a little tricky in the wind (or with an movement at all). In the past, I’ve worn a plain, black slip beneath, but today I wore a second dress, instead. Scroll to the end to see all the ways I’ve layered the green tank dress under other dresses.

Wrap dress, Farm Rio (thrifted). Tank dress, Roundy Bay (thrifted). Shoes, Seychelles. Necklaces, consignment or thrifted. Bracelets, thrifted or vintage or gifted.

This shot really depicts how Oklahoma City blends the old and the new. I can stare at all of the different layers of the city for a while with this one!
