This was meant to become an organic extraction, but didnt quite work out. In the beaker there is a mixture of water, acetonitrile, dichloromethane, a salt, and some product. I must have got the densities exactly wrong.

Don't normally like posting a colour and black and white version of the same shot, but after trying it in BW, I liked it so much I had to!

 

Metalwork illuminated with haphazard flashes from a torch.

 

Converting to BW was quite interesting - if I used the red channel, the lamp was just a burning glare of light, and if I used the blue channel it looked empty - you simply couldn't see ANY of the blobs. It was quite cool, but not that interesting... So this is pure green channel.

 

ISO100, 30s, f16, 50mm (Minolta 50/f1.7 prime)

This one is 'mirrored' in post. A blend of two oils with yellow dye drops. It's great when they retain their circular shape, even after the squash plate goes down...
