Gawking is allowed during a shuttle launch. This was when the boosters separated from the Shuttle. I was looking at it through 10-power binoculars and my wife got the picture. I could see the boosters falling away, but they were too far away to be seen in this picture.
A nice little bit of ROKR launch swag (a small Crumpler bag) handed out at the media launch for the Motorola ROKR phone in Sydney.

We stayed at Tarawarn House for the night. We had camp fire for the night, launching sky lantern, firework and ate
BBQ chicken and fish.
Earlier on, we took hot bath in a hot spring.
Sky lanterns (simplified Chinese: 天灯; traditional Chinese: 天燈; pinyin: tiān dēng or simplified Chinese: 孔明灯; traditional Chinese: 孔明燈; pinyin: kǒngmíng dēng) are airborne paper lanterns traditionally found in East Asian cultures. They are constructed from oiled rice paper on a bamboo frame, and contain a small candle or fuel cell composed of a waxy flammable material. When lit, the flame heats the air inside the lantern, thus lowering its density causing the lantern to rise into the air. The Sky Lantern is only airborne for as long as the flame stays alight, after which the lantern floats back to the ground.

Saturday night was the launch party of a new vehicle for the local arts scene, a school bus that has had a major makeover into a mobile night club, with an emphasis on the arts... There was a big event held in conjunction with the first public unveiling of the bus... www.facebook.com/BassBus
These are images of Mission Control for Sentinel-2C, which was launched on 5 September onboard the final Vega rocket from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. The spacecraft launched into orbit at 03:50 CEST (4 September 22:50 local time) and separated from the Vega rocket at approximately 04:48 CEST.
