Taken for Macr Mondays theme of Pareidolia. Victorian door latch face with a moustache. Taken with Fuji XT2 and Samyang 100mm f2.8. Natural light. Focus stacking was used to get better depth of field.
Macaws are beautiful, brilliantly colored members of the parrot family.
Many macaws have vibrant plumage. The coloring is suited to life in Central and South American rain forests, with their green canopies and colorful fruits and flowers. The birds boast large, powerful beaks that easily crack nuts and seeds, while their dry, scaly tongues have a bone inside them that makes them an effective tool for tapping into fruits.
Macaws also have gripping toes that they use to latch onto branches and to grab, hold, and examine items. The birds sport graceful tails that are typically very long.

This head made of metal is less than an inch high. It is a latch with which to hold a wooden shutter in place so it won't rattle in the wind. When flipped sideways it releases the shutter.

During Jay Wimer's "Chama Steam V" (II, III, IV never ran), we're above Lobato Trestle on the now off-limits hillside (that the Texans who have taken over the region prevent anyone from accessing).
Compared to some of Jay's later charters which featured more focus on non prototypical triple headers all on the head end... This one used a three-locomotive set with a mid-train helper, which was more prototypical, while a flanger separated the two on the head end.
