Description: Shiny new delivery trucks are parked outside Domino's Bakery, owned by Domino Danzero. Danzero drives the first truck (left), all of which are advertising Butter-Krust Bread. Danzero and his family lived on the second floor above the bakery, located on South Robberson Avenue. According to a member of the public, the first two trucks are Studebakers, the third is from White Motor Company and the final two are Fords.

Ursächlich für die Entstehung des Noctis Labyrinthus war der intensive Vulkanismus im Westen der Tharsis-Region. Dieser war mit einer Aufwölbung großflächiger Gebiete verbunden. Tektonische Spannungen waren die Folge. Es kam zur Dehnung und Ausdünnung der Kruste sowie zur Bildung von Gräben.

12. jūnijā aizsardzības ministrs Artis Pabriks, Nacionālo bruņoto spēku komandieris ģenerālleitnants Leonīds Kalniņš un Nacionālo bruņoto spēku virsseržants augstākais virsseržants Edgars Joksts-Bogdanovs piedalījās atjaunotās Krusta zīmes zem Mātes Latvijas tēla svinīgajā atklāšanā Rīgas Brāļu kapos.
Godinot Latvijas karavīrus, kuri pirms 100 gadiem cīnījās Latvijas Neatkarības karā, Krusta zīmes atklāšanas ceremonijā muzicēja Nacionālo bruņoto spēku orķestris un godasardzē stāvēja Štāba bataljona Godasardzes rotas karavīri.
Krusta zīme atrodas Rīgas Brāļu kapu ansambļa arhitektoniski skulpturālās kompozīcijas centrālā tēla „Māte Latvija ar kritušajiem dēliem” pamatnē. Ar apgaismojuma elementiem un dekoratīva stikla plākšņu noseguma palīdzību tika atjaunots tēlnieka Kārļa Zāles sākotnēji iecerētais Rīgas Brāļu kapu noformējums.
Pēc tēlnieka Kārļa Zāles ieceres veidotajā Rīgas Brāļu kapu memoriālajā ansamblī sākotnēji zem Mātes Latvijas tēla atradās krusts, kas bija izklāts ar sarkanu vitrāžas stiklu, ko tumsā izgaismoja.
1936. gada 11. novembrī, Rīgas Brāļu kapu memoriālā ansambļa atklāšanas dienā, avīze “Latvijas kareivis” par krustu simbolisko nozīmi rakstīja šādi: ”Agrāko dažādo zīmju vietā kapu noslēguma sienas vidū, zem Mātes Latvijas tēla ir iekalts viens kopējs krusts – kristīgās ticības zīme. Vakaros šī krusta zīme mirdzēs gaismā. Nakts tumsā iegrimušos Brāļu kapos jau iztālēm varēs to redzēt kvēlojam sārtās liesmās. Sārti tumšā gaisma, simboliski izteikdama tautas sirds ilgas un kara laukos slacītās sirds asinis, izskan uz augšu aizvien gaišāk un gaišāk, vēstījot cerību piepildījumu, rādot, ka ticība, par kuru liecina kristīgā krusta zīme, ir devusi spēkus ciest, cīnīties un uzvarēt.”
1967. gadā Padomju vara lēma par krusta nokalšanu. Krusta zīme ar tajā iebūvētu apgaismojumu bija vēl saglabājusies līdz aizvadītā gadsimta sešdesmito gadu vidum. Kā nepieņemama tā laika padomju varas ideologiem krusta zīme brīžiem tika slēpta zem padomju Latvijas karoga, līdz to likvidēja, aizbūvējot krusta nišu ar šūnakmens plāksnēm.
Krusta atjaunošanas iniciatore ir Rīgas pieminekļu aģentūra, bet finansējumu krusta atjaunošanas darbiem ir sniegusi Latvijas Nacionālo karavīru biedrība, kas ir ilggadēja Aizsardzības ministrijas sadarbības partnere, realizējot militārās vēstures saglabāšanas un jaunatnes patriotiskās audzināšanas projektus.
Krusta zīmes, kuras augstums ir 4,3 metri un platums – 1,5 metri, projektu izstrādājis arhitekts Edvīns Vecumnieks, un to izveidoja SIA „Akmens apstrādes centrs AKM” un stikla māksliniece Marika Kalniņa.
Rīgas Brāļu kapi ir izcilākais un nozīmīgākais Latvijas memoriālais ansamblis. Tas veltīts Pirmajā pasaules karā un Latvijas Neatkarības karā (1915 – 1920) kritušajiem karavīriem.

Zemessardzes 1. Rīgas brigāde veic izvēršamās infrastruktūras uzstādīšanu Evaņģēliskās Kristiešu draudzes “Zilais Krusts” teritorijā, nodrošinot vienu izvēršamo telti ar apgaismojuma un apsildes elementiem.

Ein klassisches französisches Baguette mit Oliven, außen goldbraun und herrlich krustig, die Oberfläche natürlich aufgebrochen wie eine Landschaft aus feinen Rissen. Durch diese Brüche blitzt das Innere hervor – luftig, etwas heller, zart mit Mehl bestäubt.
Die Oliven setzen dunkle, aromatische Akzente, ihr salziger Duft verbindet sich mit dem warmen Röstaroma der Kruste. Beim Brechen knackt das Brot hörbar, innen bleibt es saftig und weich – ein Spiel aus optischer Textur, Duft und Geschmack.
Endemischer, kleiner Krabbler "in the middle of nowhere" :-)
Über die Nase können sie Salz ausscheiden, daher die kleine, weisse Kruste.

Ein viergängiges Menü genießen, dazu abwechslungsreiche Informationen zum Thema „I am from Austria“. Das war der kulinarische Abend der Jugendlichen der 3. HLW Kirchdorf. Ein Trommelspiel signalisierte den offiziellen Beginn des Abends. Gestartet wurde mit einem Aperitif und einer Verkostung von Bier der Brauerei Schloss Eggenberg. Ganz besonders mundete die Schlierbacher Käsecremesuppe sowie die gebratenen Schweinsmedaillons mit Kräuter-Zitronen Kruste an Natursaft. Ein besonderer Abend für Eltern, Verwandte, Freunde und Ehrengäste, bei dem die Gäste von den vielfältigen Kompetenzen der Schülerinnen und Schüler begeistert waren. Bezirksschulinspektorin Regierungsrätin Sibylle Schmid zeigte sich von den Leistungen und den köstlichen Speisen angetan. Mit einem flotten Schuhplattler rundeten die Schülerinnen den Abend ab. „Wir sind stolz auf die Leistungen unserer Schülerinnen und Schüler. Sie haben sehr engagiert diesen Abend vorbereitet und professionell gestaltet“, so die Pädagoginnen Fachvorständin Herta Bauer und Michaela Haijes-Kemetmüller, die die Schülerinnen und Schüler im neuen Unterrichtsgegenstand „Unternehmens- und Dienstleistungsmanagement“ begleiten.

"Der Döppekooche [in Koblenz: Debbekooche] ist eine alte rheinische Spezialität und war ursprünglich ein „Arme-Leute-Essen“. (...)
Döppekooche besteht aus einer Masse von geriebenen Kartoffeln, fein zerkleinerten Zwiebeln, Eiern und Gewürzen, beliebig versetzt mit Dörrfleisch (Speckstreifen) oder Mettwurststückchen. Die Verwendung von Speck (oft auch der abgetrennten Schwarte) ist nach den meisten Rezepten unerlässlich. Seltener sind auch Varianten mit Blutwurst oder Wiener Wurst als Einlage zu finden. Die Masse wird in einem (am besten gusseisernen) Bräter etwa zwei Stunden lang im Ofen gebacken, bis sie eine dunkle Kruste überzieht. Als Beilage wird vielerorts Apfelmus gereicht."

Black Desert (Sahra as-Sauda) between Farafra and Bahariya oases, Egpyt
Die Schwarze Wüste (Sahra as- Sauda) liegt im ägyptischen Teil der Libyschen Wüste im Bereich der Senke Bahrīya. Dunkle Berge aus Dolorit und anderen Vulkangesteinen prägen die Landschaft. Ausgeblühte Kieselsäuren haben Steine und Sand mit dünnen Limonit-Krusten überzogen.
Die kegelförmigen Berge sind von schwarzen Eisenoxid-Brocken (-Klumpen) übersäht .

Aufnahme v. 31.10.13, bei Bad Neustadt (östlich der Rhön), in einem aufgelassenen Muschelkalksteinbruch
Vorsichtig würde ich die Krusten so ansprechen:
die helle Diagonale Circinaria (Aspicilia) contorta,
das orange Fleckchen rechts darunter Caloplaca ochracea,
des weiteren Rinodina bischoffii außen herum,
und im linken oberen und rechten unteren Eck Verrucaria nigrescens.

Aufgrund der in mehr als 400 Millionen Kilometer zur Sonne im Vergleich zur Erde viel geringeren Sonneneinstrahlung mit entsprechend niedrigen Temperaturen auf Ceres besteht die Oberfläche des Zwergplaneten zum Großteil aus gefrorenen leichten und flüchtigen Elementen, die kaum verdampfen. Ceres weist in seinen äußeren Zonen vermutlich einen beachtlichen Wasseranteil von 15 bis 25 Prozent auf und wird deshalb auch als "nasser" Asteroid bezeichnet. Planetenforscher schätzen, dass Eis in einer 100 Kilometer dicken Schicht im Mantel unter der Kruste verborgen ist. Zudem könnte es auf dem Zwergplaneten eine dünne Atmosphäre geben: Einige Astrobiologen spekulieren sogar über einstiges einfaches Leben auf Ceres.

miah and i had a craving for beef patties so i stopped by golden krust to pick up some dinner. we've driven by this place a million times and never stopped by. boy, are we glad we did. this place has, possibly, the best patties i've ever tasted.
