Interns Kris Hill (Disney Kristoff doll) and Gabby Hawkins (Mattel Gabby Douglas doll) are thrilled with their first visit to the Great Smoky Mountains. Gabby's roommate Sheila captured this cute pic of the two of them. They've only been dating a couple of months!

Kristoff 12'' doll

D23 Disney Store.

$16.95 US

Purchased August 11, 2013 at the D23 Expo.

Part of the Disney Classic Doll Collection.

First Look

Based on a character in the upcoming Disney animated movie, Frozen, which opens on November 27, 2013. Not yet available online or in regular Disney Stores.

Walt Disney World-DHS

The Limited Edition Kristoff 18'' Doll has been completely deboxed. He posed standing, supported by the included doll stand. He can free stand, but he is much more stable on the stand. I left one hand in the pants pocket. I also left the tissue paper stuffing in the faux leather satchel, and left out the mandolin from these photos. He has cotton stuffing under the front of his shirt, to make him more bulky.

Kristoff in his summer outfit, as seen at the end of the Frozen animated feature film. Included is his mandolin, leather satchel and ice man medallion. He also has faux leather boots with fur trim, a welcome change from the usual molded plastic boots on male Disney Store dolls. He is #1627 of 3500, $119.95.

I got a bunch of newly released Frozen merchandise from the Disney Store today (March 2, 2015). They are the LE 17'' Anna, Elsa and Kristoff dolls, and the Frozen Tsum Tsum. I also picked up the pre-ordered NeverBeast movie. I will show the dolls boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed.

Kristoff Classic Doll - Frozen - 12''

Anna and Elsa Ice Skating Doll Set - Frozen - 12''

Anna and Kristoff Doll Set with the slipcover off.

My initial photos of the Frozen limited edition dolls that I got at their release day (Tuesday November 3) at my local Disney Store. I also got the Peter Pan tsum tsums, the Frozen Fever mini tsums (in Olaf carrying case), and my pre-ordered Inside Out Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. There was a coupon that came with the pre-order voucher card, that took $10 off a purchase of $40 or more, which came in handy today.

I also show a boxed FF Elsa next to deboxed SQ Elsa to do a quick comparison of the two limited edition 17'' dolls.

All photos were taken in indirect natural light.

So finally I got to pick up my Ariel doll and movie, that we've had for weeks. And I used my 20$ off coupon to by kristoff, 5 tee shirts, designer couples beauty and the beast jornal (since I can't get the dolls), and a classics cinderella doll. I also got the Mattel Anna, and another elsa. I plan on hanging the new elsa on my wall with my Mattel Merida. I also got the singing elsa doll by Mattel. I know I said I wouldn't buy her, but I am elsa crazy. Lol I had to get her because she has the prettiest face! But I now have new dolls to keep me company for weeks! I hope everyone got their Ariel dolls, and enjoy them!:)

im Rosengarten <3

and kristoff is delighted,he was also wishing for a little sven.

Boxed and deboxed Anna, Elsa and Kristoff 17'' Limited Edition dolls, all released on March 3-4, 2015. In this case the two sets of dolls look pretty much identical, since there are no parts of their outfit that are really restricted or hidden in the packaging. However, the deboxed dolls are in more relaxed poses.

I got my spare Limited Edition Frozen Dolls today in mail, on Monday March 16, 2015. I will leave them boxed, except for briefly opening them to take photos and to inspect the dolls and their Certificates of Authenticity. The ones that I got at my local Disney Store on release day, Tuesday March 3, I have already fully deboxed. My spare LE Kristoff has a Cart # of 00040, which means he is #40 of 3500! It is the lowest edition number of any of my LE 17'' dolls, except for the LE 100 Harrods dolls (which are numbered #39 for the Frozen and #32 for the Sleeping Beauty sets).

I've now taken my spare LE Frozen dolls out of the shipping cartons. I show them with their boxes closed, then opened up, and finally side by side with the corresponding deboxed dolls. The spare Anna has almost perfect hair, as opposed to my frizzy haired deboxed Anna. My spare Elsa has a slight crease in the front lid, right in the center of the top edge. She has hair that is not as even or natural looking as my deboxed Elsa. I think the boxed Elsa shows her outfit to better advantage, as the skirt is tacked to be wider than its natural circular, narrower form when it is freed from the packaging. Finally my spare Kristoff has uneven hair on the left side (his right), whereas my Kristoff has much better looking hair. Also, he looks much better outside of the cramped quarters of the box, where the top of his head is almost touching the top of the box, and when the front lid is on, the top of head is cut off from view.

My 2015 LE Frozen doll edition numbers (deboxed and boxed)

Anna (962 and 3656 of 5000)

Elsa (2942 and 932 of 5000)

Kristoff (1627 and 40 of 3500)

Kristoff Classic Doll - Frozen - 12''

Anna and Elsa Ice Skating Doll Set - Frozen - 12''

Classic Kristoff and Anna 12'' dolls by the Disney Store (actually Anna is the otherwise identical doll from the D23 Frozen doll set) join the scene, and Anna leaves. Kristoff and Anna want to ride in the sleigh. Olaf is sitting in the front bench.

Toddler Anna is wearing her pink winter hood on her head. She has her winter dress and boots on, but doesn't come with cape or mittens. She is 14'' H, and has long orange hair with white hair scattered throughout (not just in a single streak, as in the movie). It is braided into two pigtails, and she has long curly front bangs. She has large blue green eyes, and her pink lips form an open smile.

The sleigh comes with a front bench for Olaf. The bench fits into tabs in the sides of the sleigh. Olaf fits into a large round peg in the middle of the bench. The sleigh is 14'' H x 6'' W x 7'' H. Olaf is 6'' H (without his hair). The bench's inside width is 5''. The back of the sleigh can slide back to become a bed for Toddler Anna. The pieces are all sturdy and well built.

The cardboard backing tray has been removed from the box, so we can now see the contents in the clear. They are attached to the backing and the cardboard and plastic spacers by wires, ties, rubber bands and T-tabs. Then all the items are removed from the packaging.

I just received the Disney Frozen Anna's Frozen Adventure Sleigh Set by Tollytots, from ToysRUs. It contains a toddler version of Anna in her winter outfit, an Olaf figure, a large sleigh with removable front bench and reclinable back seat. The Anna doll isn't that movie accurate, but she is cute. The Olaf isn't posable. But Olaf and the sleigh are about the right size to match up with my 12'' Frozen dolls, which is the reason why I bought this item, despite its rather high price of $49.95. I will be deboxing the set soon, and trying them out with my 12'' Frozen dolls (especially Classic Anna and Kristoff) and my large Sven plush.

It snowed here today so Kristoff finally got to go out and play with Sven.

Disney Store "Frozen" Kristoff Plush

On September 16, 2013 Disney Store Will Release The Frozen Collection. Price - $19.99

BOX DATE: 2015

MANUFACTURER: Mattel

DOLLS IN PACK: Anna, Kristoff

PERSONAL FUN FACT: These are the only clothing items Anna came with. She was packaged in a mainly molded/painted ensemble. I don't really understand why she was given any fabric clothes, when she really cannot wear any other outfit anyways. I was actually expecting Anna's boots to be molded onto her body and everything (so it was refreshing that they could actually be removed). I hate to complain, but I really dislike molded/painted clothes and find them a to be a huge disappointment. But, that being said, the super adorable figurines packaged with this set made up for the wardrobe cheapness. I pictured the two cuddly trolls with Kristoff's outfit, since after all they were his "family" members in the movie. I love the proportions of Olaf and the trolls. They compare nicely to Anna and Kristoff, and are highly visible on my crowded display. Anna's crown really doesn't stay on. Unlike Kristoff's, she does not have a hole in her head to secure it onto her. I don't mind though, as my shelf isn't tall enough to accommodate the dolls wearing their crowns, on stands.

My line cards for the limited edition dolls. I didn't get to keep any of the cards. They were given out at about 9:40 am.

Got to my local Disney Store at 6:00 am and got inside right away. I was first in line. I fellow collector joined me a couple of minutes later. There were six waiting in line at 7 am, 25 at 8 am, 40 at 9 am, probably 50 at 10 am.

The store had 16 each of Limited Edition Frozen Fever Anna and Elsa 17'' dolls, and 18 of the DFDC Anna and Kristoff 12'' doll set. They told us the totals of the limited edition dolls when they gave out the line cards at about 9:40 am. There were two Anna/Kristoff sets left over at store opening at 10 am. It was also release day for the 10 Peter Pan mini tsum tsums, and the FF mini tsum tsum set (in an Olaf carrying case). It turned out that about 2 thirds of the people just wanted the tsum tsums. After the opening ceremony, we were divided into two lines. One was just for tsums. and the other was for the LE or Designer dolls (we could also get tsums). They had the Peter Pan tsums behind the counter, but the FF tsums were on the wall display to the right of the registers. I got the three dolls, all the Peter Pan tsums, and the FF tsum set.

Anna meets up with a ice man Kristoff and his caribou, Sven at a local trading post. Kristoff is a rugged mountaineer who prefers the company of reindeer over people.

My Sven is an animal that I got with a gift card from a very lovely local gift shop. I thought of Kristoff as soon as I spotted him. I added the ribbon and leather harness. He makes a great Christmas display animal.

Sven (Kristoff): "Yeah, people will beat you and curse you and cheat you!"

Hans pays a surprise visit to Anna and Elsa. It looks as though he going to make another attempt at a coup d'etat. The Frozen sisters were about to begin a sleigh ride with Kristoff and Olaf, with Sven pulling.

Classic Elsa (from the D23 Frozen Doll Set) joins Classic Anna and Kristoff in the sleigh. Olaf remains sitting atop Sven. Elsa and Anna fit much better in the front bench than Kristoff and Anna. Kristoff sits in the back of the sleigh. But since there isn't any seat there, he is actually sitting on the floor of the sleigh. So Kristoff decides it would be more comfortable to stand up, and also so he can have a better view out of the sleigh. Then Olaf decides to sit with the sisters, in the front of the sleigh. Now they are all ready for some adventuring. Until Classic Hans shows up brandishing Fairytale Designer Snow White's Prince's sword.

Okay, it's a horrible phone pic, but if I don't post now, it'll be a long time. Besides, what's more exciting than getting a doll delivered to your work?

Elsa and Anna are so adorable

Kristoff takes the pumpkins and flowers from the girls and offers to carry them to their car.

More to follow....

Anna and Elsa's Royal Welcome, Disney's Hollywood Studios

Another beautifully packaged sample pack from Kristoff. Smoked one tonight. Wonderful from start to finish.

Colleen says this is her favorite of the four photos of this Frozen Deluxe Fashion Gift Set. I don't think it has much to do with the outfits, more so the scene. I agree with her that the front of the Mattel Frozen Castle & Ice Palace looks amazing with the dolls. I never watched Frozen II (at least not now as I'm typing this), so I'm not entirely sure what these outfits represent. I'm guessing some sort of formal occasion? Kristoff is wearing the same signature look that appeared in the previous photo. As I said before, the poor dude only got two fashions instead of the four the girls were equipped with. But that could just be that he wore the same look throughout the entire movie? This is my favorite look for Elsa in this pack. I like that it has more of a purple hue to it than the icy blue we've all come to expect from her. The way Colleen fanned her dress out and place her "magic" in her hand works wonderfully for this photo. The dolls were also saturated enough in color for me to execute a photo that required little editing (sometimes I need to saturate the colors more for them to stand out, but I like to keep it minimal so the photo represents the truest form of the dolls). Although the playset in the background is made by Mattel, you wouldn't know that the dolls are from an entirely different manufacturer. Mattel nailed the vibe of Frozen with this old playset, but the Disney Store dominated the dollies. You can also tell that the doorway is the appropriate size. Kristoff could walk in even on his handmade stand that brings him up a half inch or so! Anna most surprised me in this photo. I wasn't sure how this light tan would work with her red hair and freckles. But wow, she's breathtaking!

I was quite excited to get coronation outfits with this set. Granted, I did have a Mattel version of Anna's (from the Anna/Kristoff 2 pack I rescued at the Salvation Army). The Disney Store one is similar but you can definitely spot the differences. For instance, it's a little more muted in color, and isn't caked with glitter. I like both gowns, just for different reasons. I also think that Anna's hairstyle looks wonderful with this dress. She has such a sweet innocent vibe about her...definitely fitting considering she is the younger sister. If only this pack had Hans...then she'd be ready to get engaged after just a few hours of knowing him! It's quite funny considering the first time my sister and I watched Frozen, we didn't think anything of Anna and Hans wanting to get married right away. I mean, this IS Disney. Cinderella and Prince Charming quite literally only danced with one another before their happily ever after. And Prince Phillip and Aurora? They just sang a song together, but didn't even speak for the last twenty minutes of the movie! According to Disney's own standards, it was totally reasonable for Anna and Hans to get engaged so soon, especially considering they did bond of conversation. That's why I wasn't aware of Hans's nefarious intentions...I'm usually quite astute at figuring out the plot of movies ahead of time because I watch them so often. Anyways, instead Anna has Kristoff as her date to the coronation. He is wearing his signature Frozen look here once again, since he only came with two outfits. I love that Elsa's ensemble came equipped with a cape. The fact that she's more covered and is wearing a rigid, structured ensemble fits her icy personality. Anna's more colorful, playful gown suits her quirkiness. It was also fun seeing the inside of my Mattel Castle & Ice Palace playset in this photo. Sadly, it's missing all it's furniture, but it still makes for a more detailed scene!

Now they are all ready for some adventuring. Until Classic Hans shows up brandishing Fairytale Designer Snow White's Prince's sword.

Deboxing LE Kristoff. First the front lid is removed, revealing the clear plastic lid underneath. It has a label and minimal decoration on the border similar to that of the outer lid, all printed in white. Then the plastic lid and rear cardboard cover are removed. The remaining cardboard backing is free standing, and has a scene of the frozen Arendelle forming the background behind the doll.

Also, he looks much better outside of the cramped quarters of the box, where the top of his head is almost touching the top of the box, and when the front lid is on, the top of head is cut off from view.
