Thank you, The Christmas Squirrel, for this amazing Kristoff doll. Hands down my favorite male doll as of now.
Classic Elsa (from the D23 Frozen Doll Set) joins Classic Anna and Kristoff in the sleigh. Olaf remains sitting atop Sven. Elsa and Anna fit much better in the front bench than Kristoff and Anna. Kristoff sits in the back of the sleigh. But since there isn't any seat there, he is actually sitting on the floor of the sleigh. So Kristoff decides it would be more comfortable to stand up, and also so he can have a better view out of the sleigh. Then Olaf decides to sit with the sisters, in the front of the sleigh. Now they are all ready for some adventuring.
Today I FINALLY found the knock off Kristoff doll at an Asian store for $10 since my local stores have been getting hordes of the Elsa and Hans doll set. Hans looks to be a Mattel Kristoff with different sculpted hair so I passed on him, and was so happy to get a knock off Kristoff since I’m not paying $60 for that ugly Mattel two set or even try getting any Kristoff doll from the secondary market.
I knew he was a Mattel bootleg rather than a DS Kristoff but the Mattel sculpts are pretty okay I think. Weirdly enough it looks like the bootleggers cut off his sculpted hat and just shoddily sculpted extra hair on top so that’s cool.
Weirdly enough, Kristoff is fully articulated, and if his arms only hung down instead of sticking outwards I would keep him on it. It’s about as decent hollow plastic as my other Fashionista knock offs so lol.
I’ve been wanting a spare Kristoff to actually play with so I guess this is good enough for me lol.
So finally I got to pick up my Ariel doll and movie, that we've had for weeks. And I used my 20$ off coupon to by kristoff, 5 tee shirts, designer couples beauty and the beast jornal (since I can't get the dolls), and a classics cinderella doll. I also got the Mattel Anna, and another elsa. I plan on hanging the new elsa on my wall with my Mattel Merida. I also got the singing elsa doll by Mattel. I know I said I wouldn't buy her, but I am elsa crazy. Lol I had to get her because she has the prettiest face! But I now have new dolls to keep me company for weeks! I hope everyone got their Ariel dolls, and enjoy them!:)
Here is bootleg Kristoff with his shoulders modded and redressed in something less… satiny. After moving his shoulders out he poses like a pre fashionista Ken so I’m pretty happy with his body even if it’s short lol.
This is the display of restocked Frozen Merchandise at my local Disney Store today, at about 11:30 am. It was all behind the sales counter, which was a very good strategy to make the buying process more orderly. It also meant you couldn't browse through the items to pick the best ones. They had only Singing Elsa, Animators' Kristoff, medium Olaf and Baby Sven dolls, but lots of each. According to a CM, there were about 50 people waiting outside the store before it opened at 10 am.
Like Hans, I had to buy Kristoff because of his fabulous outfit. However, as a base for repainting, he's a bit disappointing - the head sculpt is very straight-faced (even more so than Hans, who has a slight quirk of the mouth), and his hair gets in the way, too. I gave him some freckles, more natural lips and made him look in the opposite direction, hopefully a bit less shiftily. He's got a new body too.
Johns Hopkins interns Kris Hill (Disney Kristoff doll) and Gabby Hawkins (Mattel Gabby Douglas doll) take the microscopic break they have for a quick trip to the mountains. Gabby's roommate, Sheila (Power Team figure) is not pictured.
Classic Anna replaces Olaf in the front bench. To make room for her legs, the bench has to be pushed back about an inch. It is not locked in place anymore, but is fairly steady due to the side rails of the sled and the weight of Anna. Kristoff and Olaf wait by the sled for their turn to hop in. Sven medium 16'' plush arrives, and stands in front the sled, with his reins on the ground.
Classic Kristoff and Anna 12'' dolls by the Disney Store (actually Anna is the otherwise identical doll from the D23 Frozen doll set) join the scene, and Anna leaves. Kristoff and Anna want to ride in the sleigh. Olaf is sitting in the front bench.
Toddler Anna is wearing her pink winter hood on her head. She has her winter dress and boots on, but doesn't come with cape or mittens. She is 14'' H, and has long orange hair with white hair scattered throughout (not just in a single streak, as in the movie). It is braided into two pigtails, and she has long curly front bangs. She has large blue green eyes, and her pink lips form an open smile.
The sleigh comes with a front bench for Olaf. The bench fits into tabs in the sides of the sleigh. Olaf fits into a large round peg in the middle of the bench. The sleigh is 14'' H x 6'' W x 7'' H. Olaf is 6'' H (without his hair). The bench's inside width is 5''. The back of the sleigh can slide back to become a bed for Toddler Anna. The pieces are all sturdy and well built.
The cardboard backing tray has been removed from the box, so we can now see the contents in the clear. They are attached to the backing and the cardboard and plastic spacers by wires, ties, rubber bands and T-tabs. Then all the items are removed from the packaging.
I just received the Disney Frozen Anna's Frozen Adventure Sleigh Set by Tollytots, from ToysRUs. It contains a toddler version of Anna in her winter outfit, an Olaf figure, a large sleigh with removable front bench and reclinable back seat. The Anna doll isn't that movie accurate, but she is cute. The Olaf isn't posable. But Olaf and the sleigh are about the right size to match up with my 12'' Frozen dolls, which is the reason why I bought this item, despite its rather high price of $49.95. I will be deboxing the set soon, and trying them out with my 12'' Frozen dolls (especially Classic Anna and Kristoff) and my large Sven plush.

Main Street Emporium. Animated window display for Frozen. Anna, Sven and Kristoff in front of Arendelle Castle.
I paid a visit to Disneyland today, Sunday February 7, 2016, from about 11 am to 6 pm. It was sunny and unseasonably warm (in the 80s), and I was surprised by how crowded it was.
I lined up to get a wristband for the 5 pm showing of Disney at the New York World's Fair at the Opera House on Main Street, which is one of the Disneyland AP Days events. They actually scanned your AP card once to get the wristband, and again before they would give your this weeks AP Days button. So they are really enforcing the 1 button per guest per week rule that was stated in the Disneyland article. It is two inches in diameter, and says 'Main Street to Mickey Mouse' which is this week's theme, and AP Days. It also has Walt and Mickey in front of the Main Street RR station.
After I got the AP Days goodies, I saw Cruella De Vil walking towards me in front of the Main Street RR station, after she had finished her meet and greet. She was in character as usual, and posed for me when she saw me taking photos of her.
I went to China Closet to try to get the newly released Precious Moments Ursula doll, but they were all sold out. They told me that she sold out almost immediately after she was released last Friday.
Then I went to DTD and did some shopping. I got a Hipster Mickey 9 inch vinylmation figure from WonderGround Gallery, for a fellow group member. He was $69.95, and looks pretty cool. But I don't collect Mickey, so I didn't get one for myself. They have plenty in stock so it shouldn't be hard for people to get one for themselves.
I got the #9 high score in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Then I went on a few more of my favorite rides - Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. The lines weren't all that long, thankfully.
Then I went to see the AP Days showing of Disney at the World's Fair in the Opera House. I got there a little late, so the lobby was empty and the film was already started. I got the free bag of popcorn and small bottle of water, and was directed inside the theatre. It was basically a 60 minute episode of Disney's World of Color, which showed the background to their involvement in the New York World's Fair of 1964-65, as well as footage of their actual exhibits there, including It's a Small World. Walt Disney himself hosted the entire episode. Believe it or not, I actually went to that World's Fair, and saw all of Disney's exhibits, when I was grade school. It was fun seeing them again.
Finally, I photographed and video recorded a portion the Frozen animated diorama in the window display of the Emporium on Main Street. I will share the video in a separate post.

Inside the Disney Store. DFDC Anna and Kristoff. Preview of November 2015 release. DFDC Elsa and Hans tote bag/purse.
Day 1 of the D23 Expo, Friday August 14, 2015.
Goals: Disney Store LE Coronation Elsa and Hans Doll Set, pre-order DFDC doll collection.
I got to the Anaheim Convention Center parking lot at about 4:50 am. I got to the lineup for the D23 Expo in Hall E, which is below ground, at about 5:15 am. There was already thousands of people in front of me, just in the D23 Silver/Gold Member line for D23 shopping. My line started moving at around 7:30 am, and we got into the main Exhibit Halls at about 9 am. I then waited in the very long line for the Disney Store. I finally got in the Disney Store at about 2 pm. As I waited in line, the CM with a microphone kept on updating us on the availability of LE items in the store. As I approach the head of the line, the D23 exclusive Elsa and Hans set was still available. But they said that there were no more pre-orders for the DFDC doll set, so I was really disappointed. I was happy to learn when I got into the store that in fact they did have fifty of the DFDC doll set available for pre-order. So that I didn't miss out on the pre-order, I rushed my shopping and taking of photos of the displays. I got the Elsa and Hans set, the DFDC and Story Films lithographs, and most of the DFDC mugs and journals. I lugged the items to checkout, and pre-ordered the DFDC doll set. My gold D23 card enabled me to get a 10% discount on the non-LE items. I didn't buy her, but I verified that the Princess Leia doll was 12'' and LE 450. I was happy with what I got, even though I missed out on a lot of the more limited LE items. There are still chances on Saturday and Sunday to possibly get them. Art of Jasmine is tomorrow, and they said all of those items will only be sold on Saturday.
♫Reindeers are better than people
Sven, don't you think that's true?
Yeah, people will beat you
and curse you and cheat you
Every one of them's bad except you
Oh, thanks buddy
But people smell better than reindeer
Sven, don't you think that I'm right?
That's once again true,
for all except you
You got me, let's call it a night♫
I couldn't resist taking a picture of little Kristoff and Sven together, I just wish that Sven didn't such huge antlers that way he could pass as a baby Sven,
Kristoff and Elsa have some chemistry between them. They have a lot in common -- they are both fascinated by ice and are introverts that enjoy quiet time over large crowds. Maybe they will fall in love??
Olaf hops in the back of the sleigh, and Kristoff sits next to Anna. He is a very large fellow, so he is actually sitting partly on the arm of the bench and partly on the center peg. He holds onto the reins around Sven.

Kristoff and Hans from Frozen take their places next to Elsa and Anna on my desk. The Prince is still carrying Gold D23 Snow White in his arms. All the current dolls in this group are limited edition and/or purchased from the D23 Expo.

I got some Disney goodies in the mail today. I got all four of the separately sold Classic Frozen dolls from the Disney Store: Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Hans. I got them because my local store sold out of the new Hans in his Coronation outfit, and I was afraid of him selling out online as well before I could get him. Plus they had a 2 or more for $11 sale going on. The boxes were a bit scratched up, but no major dents, which doesn't matter much to me since I will eventually debox them all.
My Prince Hans and Kristoff dolls has been fully deboxed, and are posed free standing side by side.
Prince Hans has the usual Disney Store Prince body, with a pivot jointed neck, ball jointed shoulders, hinge jointed elbows, ball jointed hips, and internal hinge jointed knees. He has large hands and feet. He stands 12 3/8'' tall in his boots, from the floor to the top of his molded hair. He is fairly stable free standing.
He has a long face, with molded short dark brown hair and long sideburns. He has small narrow green eyes, glancing to his left, dark brown eyebrows, long pointy nose, wide mouth with very thin pink lips in a closed mouth smile. He has a very long chin, and brown freckles on his cheeks and forehead. He has a light complexion.
His outfit consists of jacket, vest and shirt combo, pants and boots. The jacket is made of light gray faux suede lined in black, with gold trim and decorations. His vest is corduroy with false buttons in front, and only covers his front. It is sewn to a dark blue long sleeved shirt and dark pink ascot. He has navy blue pants with fake silver buttons in front. His boots are knee highs with heels and pointed toes.
Prince Hans is a very accurate representation of the movie character, with well fitted clothes and pleasant expression. The only thing lacking in his outfit is white gloves, and his body could be more fully articulated.
Kristoff has the usual Disney Store Prince body, with a pivot jointed neck, ball jointed shoulders, hinge jointed elbows, ball jointed hips, and internal hinge jointed knees. He has large hands and feet. He stands 12 1/4'' tall in his boots, from the floor to the top of his molded hair. He is fairly stable free standing.
He has a long face, with molded short dirty blonde hair. He has large light brown eyes, glancing to his right, dark brown eyebrows, large blunt nose, wide non-smiling closed mouth with very thin pink lips. He has a very long chin, and brown freckles on his cheeks and nose. He has a light complexion.
His outfit consists of jacket and shirt combo, pants, gloves, hat and boots. The jacket is made of dark gray faux suede with fur trim, and dark red satin sash. It is padded in the front to make him look more husky. His blue long sleeved fleece shirt is sewn to his jacket. He has blue fleece pants. His dark gray rubber boots are mid-calf high and have curved pointed toes. His gloves are gray leather with fur trim, and are tied to his hands with strings. Finally he has a fleece cap with a flat top.
Kristoff is a very accurate representation of the movie character, with well fitted clothes. As with all Disney male dolls, his body could be more fully articulated.

Baby Sven plush, Animators' Kristoff doll and Small Olaf plush eye an Olaf Candy Apple from Disneyland. It is placed on an Elsa plate from the Disney Store. All dolls are from the Disney Store. Candy Apple purchased from the Candy Palace on Main Street, during my visit to Disneyland on Sunday April 6, 2014.
These are probably my favorite looks from the Deluxe Fashion Gift Set. But that's not entirely fair, since the Frozen II outfits were more interesting for me, being that I already owned several dolls from the original movie. Anna and Kristoff's getups are especially exciting. I love how they don more autumnal shades, as opposed to Elsa's traditional icy princess look. Kristoff's ensemble is particularly amazing quality. The shirt is super soft and fleecy! Anna's dress/coat are more what you'd expect...quite flimsy and cheap. But I had that expectation being that Anna and Elsa each came with not one, not two, but FOUR outfits in this pack! Poor Kristoff got ripped off in the wardrobe department and only came with two fashions (thus why you'll see him repeating looks in the four photos of this pack). Although I can't see Anna or Elsa's dresses holding up to extensive play, they work wonderfully for display or light usage. The dolls themselves are so breathtaking, that they make up for any shortage in quality (Kristoff's golden glistening hair leaves me speechless). This pack was a dream come true! I'm so glad I found it for 40% off on the Disney Store website right after the the 2021 New Year. I didn't even know that there was such a set, until I decided to browse online. I should also note that these dolls were my first order ever from the Disney Store's website. Prior to that, I hadn't bought anything brand new from the Disney Store since we made a long trip to one in 2014! I happened to find these dollies on the right day. I always wanted Disney Store Anna and Kristoff dolls (I already found my dream Elsa at the Salvation Army some years before). Plus, who can say no to extra outfits?!!!
Anna and Kristoff Doll Set with the slipcover off.
My initial photos of the Frozen limited edition dolls that I got at their release day (Tuesday November 3) at my local Disney Store. I also got the Peter Pan tsum tsums, the Frozen Fever mini tsums (in Olaf carrying case), and my pre-ordered Inside Out Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. There was a coupon that came with the pre-order voucher card, that took $10 off a purchase of $40 or more, which came in handy today.
I also show a boxed FF Elsa next to deboxed SQ Elsa to do a quick comparison of the two limited edition 17'' dolls.
All photos were taken in indirect natural light.
